Hey guys, sorry if you can't view the images. There may have actually been miscommunication on when I could release them but they should be back up in a few days for anyone who missed them.

When will they start digging? Q2 2014. So soon.

I will now un-view them, so please move my thanks forward to when they are released.

Meanwhile, it will be good to have another project moving forward.  All this activity is amazing - it's really more than what we had back in the late '70s - early '80s, when you add in all the activity in the Post Oak corridor, XOM up north, and the flurry of "little 20 story buildings" in the Energy Corridor.

While we have seen a huge surge of activity, it is a drop in the ocean compared to the late 70's and early 80's.

Man, those are great renderings. Had no idea they were upping this thing to 55 stories. Those who can't see them are missing out.

Huh? I saw the pics before they were taken down and 6HC was nowhere NEAR 55 stories. Where is this rumor coming from?

Haha. As soon as I get the go ahead, I'll unblock the images. I even had to tell Swamplot not to post the pictures just yet. For those that didn't see it, it was simply marketing material to get companies from law firms to oil companies interested in Six Houston Center. There was a little bit of miscommunication on whether they are actually for the public domain or not.

I saw a crew out taking soil samples at lunch time today! It exciting to see so much activity East of Main.

Once all this construction is done the east side is going to have an incredible view. Unlike the West side which is beautiful. but doesn't appear to have much depth or infill. Kind of like the sets in western movies if you understand my point. On the East side you can see all of the medium size building with the wall of talls in the background. This will be a beautiful view of Houston.

Here's a shot I found of the East side of downtown circa 1959, when they were first building the Eastex freeway. You can see all of the small warehouses and two and three story buildings that used to fill all of those blocks before Texas Eastern came along and bought up the big chunk of east downtown  that is now Houston Center. Yeah I'm also confused. How long was this one on hold for?

None that I'm aware of. It's always been that "rumored" tower we always have heard about with the renderings always drastically changing. I think it's always been in the proposed status as far as I've known. Think I used the word "always" enough?

Edit: Waiting for someone to post "GAME CHANGER" in here......
