Naviguessor
That's what I suspect too. But, it seems to me that the 365 would be very well suited for Midtown.

Luminare
They have done a lot of tweaking with this it seems and this version is much improved over the last one. The actually market is more pronounced. A better array of materials. The street presence looks awesome! Especially for something here in Houston. This will immediately set it apart from its peers in the neighborhood. I just hope that they build it really really quickly! It seems every week I've been reading some kind of article foretelling Whole Foods impeding doom.

j_cuevas713
I also wonder how Houston will look in the next 15 years. If we continue to develop and grow like this Houston is going to be a very well balanced city.

phillip_white
I wasn't sure what they were doing in the picture so I Googled "Badger truck Houston". Apparently they are a hydrovac excavation company. I guess there are some lines running under the street that need to be capped before it can be abandoned. http://badgerinc.com/corporate-profile/

hysinger
They are relocating the power lines that run down the street that is to be abandoned. They are routing them north on Smith to Anita, and then over. Notice that the new concrete utility pole is actually "in" the street that is to be abandoned (rather than on the sidewalk).

BigFootsSocks
I wonder if the rents here will be a little higher because of the whole "grocery store downstairs" thing that's so new to Houston. It would be smart for WF to provide a grocery service for the residents as well, like a delivery service.
Texasota
Walking downstairs to get groceries is SO HARD YOU GUYS!!! I have seen Whole Foods provide lockers where you can order your groceries ahead of time and then just pick them all up from the locker though. BigFootsSocks
I didn't say it was hard...not sure how you got that from my comment lol. It's convenient and if you're a resident upstairs then it would be nice to order your groceries and have them delivered to your door. cloud713
What downtown Hines building has a proposed grocery store? I've only heard of one at the BMS tower
htownproud
I think midtown can make this work because everyone working downtown and living in Bellaire, West U, Meyerland, and Sugarland will drive by this store on their way home everyday.
