cspwal
Also the car is going the wrong way down Leeland, but that's the least of the problems of whoever composed these.

Alec
A lot of comparable apartments went up faster than this, but most of those don't look half as nice. I'm not saying those two things are related in this case, I'm just saying speed isn't everything.

JoninATX
Nice updates Triton. For some reason I wish they would build a park on that vacant lot in front of Block 334. It would look nice and a great place to take pictures. Edited October 4, 2015 by JoninATX
HoustonIsHome
Didn't realize SH3 was so far along. It might top out before Christmas and be begging for tenants to fill it's empty halls by summer

kdog08
Perhaps they are trying to coordinate it with the TMC boom.
Purdueenginerd
I could imagine the work crews for skyhouse and this structure mingling during lunch break... Block 334 Crew: "Howd your shift go?" "Oh we completed floor 18, yours?" Block 334 Crew:"We got our saws on site to cut wood finally" "skillsaws?"Block 334 Crew: "No, manual ones"
Tumbleweed_Tx
or the bricklayers.... worker 1: I need brickworker 2 walks over to the brick pile on the opposite corner of the project, brings back one brick. worker 1: i need another brickworker 2: rinse and repeat.

cspwal
They are slow , but they are a sprinter compared to the HSPVA building. I think HISD's plan is to hope that the school seeds they planted last year finally start growing
jmitch94
Honestly I'm surprised no one is complaining about the Texaco development. They didn't even have to build that structure and when I walked by a few minutes ago it looked far from completion.
rechlin
There's absolutely no way the Texaco development will be done anytime soon. Just last week I saw the first progress on the roof in months -- they installed some ductwork for the HVAC system. At least they seem to have finally finished the framework for the big structure they added to the north part of it.

Gator Purify
I know the finished product is going to be all brown brick, but the white looks really nice and blends in well with the surrounding buildings.
Twinsanity02
Now that Gator Purify mentions it, one of the things that puzzles me about Houston with its near Tropical climate is the number of darkish buildings and houses and roofs. It seems a more southern Spain or Greece light color buildings would work better in terms heat reflection. I guess it all comes out to what sells.
