brijonmang
Thanks, though I still wish I could catch the gargantuan Camry in action. I think it's best for your safety that you do NOT come face to face with the oversized Camry.

nativehoustonion
Also a fan! Who was the politician against the Main St. rail said no one would ride at, and it will not spur development? Then he went to prison!
bobruss
This looks great with the rail station in front. This will be a very successful location if they ever decide to finish it. The brick masons have taken as long as the concrete work. The framers were fast though. It doesn't take any time to put up stick construction but have they even finished the brick on all four sides yet? Everyone joked but I bet Skyhouse 3 is finished and people moving in before this one opens.Seems like an expensive delay.
astros148
They have only finished brick on 2 full sides

Nate99
North side brick is still going up. One guy climbs down to his truck, gets one brick, affixes it in place, takes a smoke break, repeat.
Tumbleweed_Tx
I think I heard that joke when they first started bricking this place, back when the dinosaurs roamed the earth
bobruss
Maybe their plan is to go slow so when its finished oil will be back to $80.00 a barrel.
cspwal
They've finished the sidewalk along Main, are finishing the sidewalk along Leeland...even with only 3 masons working (I counted) this project is finally coming together and becoming a very nice piece of the neighboorhood

cspwal
Blocks still prime for redevelopment in the Leeland/Southdowntown neighborhood:-3 surface lots west of main-The surface lot and day care right at the corner of main and bell, next to the station-The Good year that is now surrounded on three sides by mid rise or high rise buildings-pretty much everything east of Houston House

BigFootsSocks
The name would be kinda dumb if it didn't have that cool logo. They should run a red tube light in the space above it to symbolize the Red Line.

Tumbleweed_Tx
we kid about this one taking forever, but, it's moving faster than other projects, like the Davis project near Minute Maid.I took this picture two years ago today:
