^^^ austin, tx, seems to be the difference maker here.  seemingly, ALL of the newest towers being planned/constructed here are basically DYNAMIC... GORGEOUS... TALL and SUPER TALL... EXOTIC in scale and scope... and simply BEAUTIFUL interior/exterior wise.  however, the houston/dallas contingent seem to be wholly DULL... BORING... 30 - 40 something stories/floors etc... and completely UNINSPIRING throughout.  heck, should this lofty and trend continue, austin, is destined to become the city of the future simply from the standpoint of pure optics...

To be fair, all of the vacant lots and parking lots look the same, too. I'll take as many boring towers, townhouse farms, bland apartment blocks, etc. as I can get.

I was here for the tail end of the before times. No thanks.

Totally agree but I just wish someone would change the aesthetics a bit

I'm not for certain, but maybe Berg Hospitality Group has plans for a Vietnamese restaurant? It's possible the concept could be another dining option for Autry Park.

A few weeks ago, Berg Hospitality Group filed a trade name for Maison Viet.

I think instead of a restaurant, Maison Viet could be a cocktail bar. It could also be a combination of a cocktail bar and lounge. I don't know.

Maison Viet is one of several new food & beverage concepts from Berg Hospitality Group. It's opening later this year at 811 Buffalo Park Dr, Suite 110, in the Autry Park mixed-use development. Annabelle and Turner's Cut are other known Berg Hospitality Group restaurants coming to Autry Park.

Thanks @nate4l1f3

So, a cocktail bar and lounge is only one part of Maison Viet. Berg Hospitality Groups' new concept at Autry Park will also include a men's clothing and/or accessories boutique. Interesting.

So, the name of the Autry Park sushi concept, the one from the team behind Handies Douzo and Kokoro, is Doko. It will be located on the ground floor of Hanover Parkview at 3737 Cogdell St, Suite 145.

And their cocktail bar (maybe a sake bar) is named Bar Doko. Also located at Hanover Parkview, Bar Doko's address is 3737 Cogdell St, Suite 135.

When I saw Mayahuel in @nate4l1f3's post, my thought was this could be Picos Hospitality Group new dining concept. The restaurant group is known for Arnaldo Richard's Picos.

Not too long ago, Instagram suggested I follow the account Mayahuel.htx. Picos Hospitality Group is listed in the bio.

However, given the description from the above photo, Mayahuel may be a restaurant from someone else.

I also wonder which unit Mayahuel is leasing at Autry Park? Located on the retail and merchandising site map - from on Autry Park's website - there is a ground floor retail at Hanover Autry Park for a taqueria and mezcaleria. Maybe the Mexican bar & grill will operate there?

It's good to see Chris Kinjo, chef/owner of MF Sushi, has new restaurants in the works for Houston.

I think at least one of Kinjo's restaurants will be located at 3711 Autry Park Dr, Suite 100. There are permits listing MC2 Architectural Studio as occupant of a unit at 3711 Autry Park Dr, Ste 100. MC2 Architectural Studio designed MF Sushi. Maybe they're involved with Kinjo's Autry Park projects.

More about the portion of Autry Park at 3711 Autry Park Dr. It's included in the circled map and is located on the corner of Buffalo Park Dr.

I think the restaurants could be for chef Chris Kinjo's MF Lobster and Annam. I'm not completely certain.

This is from the plan review submitted:

  • 3711 Autry Park Dr, Suites 100, 200, & 300

  •  Proposed: three shell buildings, two for future restaurants

    • Scope: Three (3) new ground up, single story buildings located within a central park each looking onto a shared plaza. The largest building is a 2,124 sq/ft shell building, intended to house a future restaurant tenant. The next largest building is a 1,521 sq/ft shell building, also intended to house a future restaurant. The smallest building is a 573 sq/ft utility building that will house restrooms & shared utilities for the three buildings.

      • A 2,124 sq/ft full-service restaurant w/ 593 sq/ft of dining area | G1 Building

      • A bar/lounge w/ (40) occupants & 1,591 sq/ft of retail space | G2 Building

      • Utility w/ 573 sq/ft | G3 Building
