This is 3 new Berg concepts coming right? This plus the two at Autry Park.

I don't think so. Berg Hospitality has at least six coming down the pipeline soon.

In addition to Buttermilk Baby, Annabelle's, and Turner's Cut, there are at least three more in planning.

One restaurant is Tavola at Blvd Place. The restaurant is in partnership with the Bastion Collection. Another restaurant is slated for the Docks at Timbergrove. And one more is slated for 1818 Washington Ave:

Punch Bowl is no longer coming to 1818 Washington.

Lovett is splitting the two story unit into several units.

One of the tenants to sign on is Berg Hospitality. The group led by Benjamin Berg operates B&B Butchers next door.

Berg Hospitality applied for a TABC permit listing a restaurant named Benny Chow at 1818 Washington Ave.

I have no clue about the concept or an opening timeframe.

Berg Hospitality is leasing a unit at M-K-T mixed-use development. The hospitality group's latest Heights area restaurant is named Buttermilk Baby.

Buttermilk Baby will be located at 600 N Shepherd Dr, Ste 250, according to a recent alcohol application filing. It will occupy the jewel box restaurant space in building 2.

B&B Butchers, B.B. Lemon, B.B Italia, NoPo, The Annie, Turner's, and Trattoria Sofia are other Berg Hospitality dining establishments.

Design inspiration for Berg Hospitality Group's Buttermilk Baby. It's possible some of the elements shown will be used is some way. Also, this may offer clues about the concept, which seems to give off soda fountain shop and Americana diner vibes.

Does anyone know what is the deal with the corner Unit at the corner of Shepherd feeder and the trail? Perfect spot for a grocer!!

There's a perfectly good Kroger just a few blocks up the street.

Along the trail there are now two e-bike shops, dozens of restaurants and bars, multiple specialty shops and gift shops, jewelry stores, upscale retail but one still can’t find everyday items like a bodega in many other cities—produce, pantry essentials, over the counter drugs etc

It takes 30 minutes to round trip walk from this location to the Kroger on 10th. Kroger’s location is not designed for trail users or to welcome people arriving by foot or wheelchair users.

Frankly I believe that entire block of Merchants Park is way overdue for a redesign and densification

I would love to see more trailfront bodegas, outdoorish coffee shops, taquerias, etc., not just here but along the Harrisburg and especially Columbia Tap trails as well.

Atlanta's east Beltline has made an evangelist out of me.

No need to cross N Shepherd Dr at 10th. One can also walk along the west side of N Shepherd Dr from MKT trail to that plaza, only to cross some driveways. There will also be a trail extension to the Kroger plaza from MKT trail, aligning Durham Dr.

All of the new businesses along the trail are great, but they are usually too expensive. I'd rather ride a bike to the "car-centric" plazas.

They were in talks w a high-end boutique department store concept (for lack of a better term) for that spot as of a few months ago.

There is a website for Buttermilk Baby. It offers a clearer picture of what's in store.

According to the website, Buttermilk Baby will offer burgers, fried chicken, biscuits, and soft serve. So, it may be a mix of Southern fare, diner vibes, and soda fountain shop.

Buttermilk Baby is one of several new dining concepts on the horizon from Berg Hospitality Group. It's slated to open this fall at the M-K-T Heights, the mixed-use development in the Heights.

The address for Buttermilk Baby is 600 N Shepherd Dr, Suite 250.

They're fun and cute.

The Post food hall, however, is like staring at the sun.

I find them a bit cringeworthy, but nothing can compare to the desperate and nauseous craving for illiteracy that comes over me when building brochures pluralize the word "elegance," as Hanover Autry Park did.

Looks like the hot chicken restaurant boom is getting a run for its money with the bubble tea boom.  There is Feng Cha going in on 19th and Moge Tee on Shep where Chick'n Cone used to be.  Not sure whether there is that much demand for bubble tea or whether there is a bubble tea . . . bubble.

Berg Hospitality Group formally announces plans for its latest concept, Buttermilk Baby. Yesterday, the restaurant group distributed a press release with additional details and renderings.

As speculated, Buttermilk Baby will be an "old-school soda fountain concept." It will also have a diner aspect.

Buttermilk Baby opens this fall. It will be located in M-K-T at 600 N Shepherd Dr, Suite 250.

Below are some details reported by Houston Chronicle:

"Berg Hospitality Group announced Wednesday it is creating new Buttermilk Baby, coming to the Heights in the fall. Described as the “all-American soda fountain with modern techniques and aesthetics,” Buttermilk Baby is set for M-K-T Heights, 600 N. Shepherd in the development’s Building 2."

"Berg has tapped the New York-based design firm ICRAVE to create the restaurant’s “Instagrammable” design for the 3,100-square-foot space at M-K-T..."
