Owner Claremont Property Co is handling office leasing in-house for that285k SF structure, which will take a full block in Midtown, and it's pegged Weitzman's Randy Hopper and Yuri Bouharevich to lease the retail. Randy tells us that it will benefit from being in Houston's densest urban area, will front three streets of the block, and it'll all have complimentary valet parking. A fitness-related smoothie concept has already inked a lease, and he's looking for restaurants and a few service users to fill the remaining space.

The original building at 2100 Travis was built in the ‘60s. It's getting a new curtainwall and a signature 14th floor roof terrace and second-story roof garden. (The glass is going on now.) The property sits on the Main Street rail line, and redevelopment will wrap up in Q1.

A quarter out from delivery, Central Square Midtown, the redevelopment project including a 14-story office tower and 25k SF of retail, is going after tenants, including a retail lease already on paper.

Did we always know it would be office? Maybe I forgot an article from long ago.

Yes it was mentioned when the previous renderings (to this current), had the orange/reddish framework in the glass facade. Right before that one it was residential (similar glass facade), but balconies galore.

To elaborate on this post, they're installing windows on the front portion closest to Enterprise (where the "Central" letters used to be).  As of this evening two rows are nearly complete.  I would have posted a picture, but then there wouldn't be any incentive for you all to come visit beautiful Midtown.

They just out up a row of glass on the main part of the building
