gene
is that a fire in the top photo?! or a smudge on the windshield?! haha Edited December 21, 2015 by gene
BUfan13
I hate to admit this, but I'm actually starting to like it. The tin feature under the windows is awful and the crown is disgusting but something keeps my intrigued.

brijonmang
That first picture (melting/fire) is actually the most flattering angle I've seen of this building so far.
Montrose1100
Would look nicer with the wider windows going all the way down instead of the top few floors.

thatguysly
I have to stare at this mess every day at work. I feel like the renderings were a sham. I was excited for a while but now that the paint color and design are so much different, I can't stand it. I hate the weird silver are the top with the obvious and random door, It makes no since to have such a different color then the rest of the building. The weird designs at the bottom seem off. I have watched them paint over them and redo them many times. It would look slightly better if the left he alternating ray and white stripes to the bottom over the solid gray block they settled on. If I had bought a unit in this building I would feel ripped off. I agree the bigger windows would be better all the way down and if it was not so horribly asymmetrical.
cloud713
Some of the units cost $7 million? Wow..As for the "one unit left", I thought there was only 1 unit left months back, in some excerpt posted by Urb I believe.

cspwal
It almost would look better if they left the scaffolding up... it adds some detail and pattern to the blank wall

Naviguessor
"It's an Art Deco Masterpiece!" Honestly, if we weren't told that this was the effect that Randy was going for, no one would ever guess it.
monarch
^^^ no matter how hard i have tried... and yes, i really have tried... i just cannot seem to get it! just what on earth has randall done to this building???
nate4l1f3
If you look at it without the crown it's not that bad. It just looked soo cool in the renderings!
Montrose1100
The design (as we know), is poor. It's the amount of blank walls that really sets this above and beyond terrible.

Naviguessor
Me too Urby. But, at least they don't appear to have a Architectural Theme.
Montrose1100
This project leaves me concerned for Arabella and Marlowe.Marlowe will be a smaller rectangle Cosmopolitan. I think the Cosmo is kind of cute sans the giant podium garage. Arabella seems to be a new venture because as Navi pointed out, no theme. Just looks modern. InTheLoopFromNYC
The last photo above presents this POS in the best possible light by hiding the garish ornamentation (Trump would be proud), downplaying the exterior treatment of the tower, and also hiding the ridiculous pyramid at the top. The Arabella leaves me with some hope based on the renderings that have been released, but with Randall Davis, the architectural bar is low.

richfish
I'm usually happy for ANYTHING to be built/developed that's higher density, but this would be much better to have never been. It is really an eyesore. Edited February 8, 2016 by richfish
