samagon
Well, it is 3'6" deep, so it's an adequately sized sign.

hindesky
Tower crane is finally coming down, talking with one of the workers it should have come down back in November but something always came up that kept it up. This is SkyHouse #16 of 30 to be built around the country and another one by the River Oaks SkyHouse in the future.
H-TownChris2
Another one in River Oaks?! Yes please.
hindesky
All my pics hosted at Imgur are not showing up anymore for some reason. Took several today but no sense posting them if they aren't visible.
BigFootsSocks
In order to see them, I have to hover my mouse over the small image icon for your pics, open it in a new tab, then reload the page by highlighting the url, and then pressing enter. So that's a quick fix, I guess.

DrLan34
The green fencing in the bottom right is a nice touch. The Downtown district has put them all along main street to cover the view of the empty parking lots. They will soon be covered with vine plants as well. cspwal
I was wondering what that was for. I thought it was property owners trying to keep people from cutting through their parking lots
Popular Post The Pragmatist
Always good to look back and compare using Google Maps. Tried to get a similar perspective to the one in the pictures above.
cspwal
Wow It used to be that Houston House and Amegy bank are the exception and parking lots and Goodyear were the rule. Now it's the opposite

Likely the site once proposed as Westcreek Centre, it was picked up recently by a different developer.

astros148
So skyhouse actually does not own this building. Spoke with the leasing agent at the original skyhouse and it looks like some sort of licensing deal they made with a management company. They were not confident enough in the downtown market for them to go ahead with actually purchasing it themselves....doesnt really make any sense because from what I had understood they secured funding beforehand?
