They've actually started on it, I should have taken a pic yesterday when the southern gate was open. See the rendering above, the cement wall which will have "Midtown" on it is up on the southeastern corner. Interesting choice. I remember last time they were in the grass field that was destined to become Discovery Green. I imagine it will be kind of a dead area though, with all the crowds downtown. IIRC, last time Channel 11 news had a platform set up at Texas & Main (where 609 Main is) where they were broadcasting the news, Dave Ward & Co. sitting up there with crowds below.
