lockmat
I love that they're adding more connectivity with two new streets. http://swamplot.com/storybook-views-of-upper-kirbys-levy-park-redo-at-eastside-and-richmond/2014-07-31/ Edited August 1, 2014 by lockmat

Luminare
Now that is a very nicely planned park space! With some more development around it it could become a very neat little community anchored by this little park.....I still see that stupid double decker bus >.> sheesh
toxtethogrady
I still see that stupid double decker bus >.> sheesh It goes with the red phone booth.
cloud713
Any indication of what the "future development" might be?
toxtethogrady
I'm guessing another office building. The positioning makes sense.

SkylineView
Sorry for no updates. Lots of life stuff. Also I moved, so no more top-down updates on Astoria / 4 Oaks. That said, lots of good stuff breaking the tree line.

cloud713
Has the second crane been on site for long?
SkylineView
It's actually a 3rd crane... two for the office tower... one for the residential part. And no, it showed up about 10 days ago.
Luminare
This is correct. I can back this up as well. This crane was just recently put together meaning they are starting on the residential building pretty soon.

KinkaidAlum
I am really liking this one. Love the different elevations and setbacks. Throw in making an underused park desirable and this thing is A+.

Luminare
I am really liking this one. Love the different elevations and setbacks. Throw in making an underused park desirable and this thing is A+. I agree, but the building on the other side is already looking very heavy with all the brick they are slapping on the other side. I'm sure it will tie together when it is done, and I the brick actually helps reinforce the that part of the buildings use (parking garage), but yeah it just seems so massive right now with the brick on it. The project is 70% complete, is expected to top out in early April and be complete Q3 2015. Construction is also underway at Avenue Grove, with expected completion in Q1 2016. The Levy Park renovation is anticipated to commence in Spring 2015 and will include native landscaping, playscapes, water features, a performance pavilion, an event lawn, a community garden and dog park.
