It's possible the restaurant could open by year's end. CultureMap previously reported MoneyCat anticipated a September opening. But that's come and gone: "Tobiuo Sushi chef-owner Sherman Yeung will open this modern, Japanese-inspired restaurant in the same Upper Kirby mid-rise as Kiran’s. Scheduled to open in September, Moneycat will serve a selection of sushi as well as both hot and cold dishes, many of which will be made with locally sourced ingredients. True to its name, the entrance will feature a wall of money cats waving at patrons." https://houston.culturemap.com/news/restaurants-bars/06-07-22-upcoming-restaurant-bar-list-andiron-georgia-james-navy-blue-aya-sushi-elro-pizza-late-august-lymbar/ In recent weeks, MoneyCat has posted teaser photos of select dishes. This could be a sign it's close to announcing an opening date. But then again, I may be wrong.

hindesky
https://www.gaspachosfruitsandcravings.com/parkkiosk Houston food truck is bringing hot dogs, tacos, tortas, and more to popular Houston park. Gaspachos Mexican Bites will open this spring in Levy Park, the six-acre park located near the intersection of Kirby Dr. and Richmond Ave. Located in the park’s kiosk next to its dog park, Gaspachos replaces Love Shack, celebrity chef Tim Love’s burger joint that closed last summer along with his upscale barbecue concept Woodshed Smokehouse. Park visitors are already familiar with the future kiosk’s offerings, as the Gaspachos Fruits and Cravings food truck makes regular appearances there. Founded by Jennifer Perez in 2016, Gaspachos Fruits and Cravings serves mangonadas, natural fruits, ice cones, elotes, and other snacks. Perez currently operates three trucks across the Houston area. https://houston.culturemap.com/news/restaurants-bars/gaspachos-mexican-bites-levy-park/

I think the former Woodshed space in Levy Park is leased or in lease negotiations. An entity was recently filed for Hearsay at Levy Park LLC. Maybe the restaurant is expanding to 3728 Wakeforest Ave? At present, Hearsay has two locations in downtown Houston and another in The Woodlands.

I like Hearsay, but I think a casual eatery would work better (and have longevity) in that space. Something similar to Betsy's in Bellaire's Evelyn's Park or Lake House at Discovery Green could do well in Levy Park.
