diggity
Heard from a buddy who works at Blackfinn, they are shuttering soon.Guess they weren't making enough money. It was a pretty ambitious amount of space they leased up.
Nole23
Oh wow, I used to walk over there all the time when I lived at Post to watch football. Hopefully something good will replace it.

Did you hear this from a credible source? Seems weird they would take this away from light rail.

Avossos
Yes I heard it from someone I would consider to be a very reliable source. That would be a shame. The post office site could be very very nice, and now it might have this mess right next to it? Let the greyhound station stay right where it is.Greyhound would need some sort of facility, which isn't there (to my knowledge). Building one would take over a year. DrLan34
Vanderbilt - 3704 Fannin St. Estimated to open in December 2014. First 2 floors will be a Twin Peaks style sports bar and third floor will be a lounge. Helping boost up the Mid-Main area.

DrLan34
Ugh.Really? Twin Peaks style? Disappointing- I like that building. Could be substantially different (or not). I was told similar "style" only... let's see what it turns out like. I still think this is a significant gain. More security, lights, people, etc for the area. Gator Purify
Here are some great pre-renovation photos of the interior and exterior of The Vanderbilt Sports Grill & Lounge. This could be an exciting destination, if done correctly. Planned: three floors, 55 screens, live DJs, an interesting menu, and an open-air lounge overlooking the city. http://www.loopnet.com/Listing/17375093/3704-Fannin-Houston-TX/
Luminare
Building needs a hell lot of TLC, but you are right. In the right hands it could really pop. I like how the large Mid Main development is preserving the smaller stores that are next to it on Alabama & Main and Winbern & Main. Probably the only area of Midtown that has some character. urbanize713
Saw the interior of Blackfinn is being worked on. It seemed like a remodel was already under way. Anyone have any information as to who may be coming in? It seems like a really fast turn around if in fact the new tenant is already working on the space. LarryDierker
the greyhound station closing will be great for midtown, and maybe wont draw as much riff raff in the Washington area.
