citizen4rmptown
Wow.....Discovery/Hess Tower definitely looks as tall as OPP, and maybe taller once the top is completed.....

uhlaw09
This is a drive-by HAIFing showing the fast progress being made on the top structure. Taken Friday, November 6th: Edited November 9, 2009 by uhlaw09
Jax
It actually looks like they haven't made much progress on the top since last weekend...
marc
Thanks Nate. i love DT from that angle. Doesn't even look like a typical Houston. AND i think it is cool that the tallest DT tower is symetrically in the middle from that angle. Beautiful pix. m.
Triton
It actually looks like they haven't made much progress on the top since last weekend...Theyve made considerable progress on the roof. Im over at UH and see the progress everyday from the top floor of the library. How tall is OPP and HT? From all the angles I've seen, Hess Tower looks taller already. I thought OPP was supposed to be higher... ... .. ?
fatesdisastr
Fom all the angles I've seen, Hess Tower looks taller already. I thought OPP was supposed to be higher... ... .. ?OPP is higher. You must have an awkward angle of it or something.
Triton
OPP is higher. You must have an awkward angle of it or something. From both 288 and the UH campus. Is there anyone else to back up my claim? It honestly looks taller.
ChannelTwoNews
Look at the progress on the crown in the photos taken today. Compare them to the photos in a previous post, taken just one week ago.
Jax
I posted this on Nov 1st And the latest photo makes it look like they haven't made much progress on the turbine structure at the top. But I admit it has only been 10 days since I took my photo. It felt like it had been longer. Edited November 11, 2009 by Jax

kylejack
Yeah, I saw some guys working on the skywalk. It looked beautiful with them standing there in the setting sun. Should have snapped a pic with my phone but I didn't.

lockmat
Two things I noticed yesterday. One, the blue on this building is really beautiful in person; it's gonna look great once complete. Two, driving in from 45north you can see it and it really looks cool b/c it totally changes the depth perception from that point of view; it makes downtown look much deeper. citizen4rmptown
This tower makes quite an impression on the gulf freeway, appears bigger than it really is.
