  1. Smh what a bunch of idiots running the Lancaster... you get rid of the buildings... ok it sucks but we will move on... but getting rid of a 100 yr old tree for no good reason!?
  2. Wow this is beautiful! So what is the projected start time to begin some of this vision for the bike lanes?
  3. This is going to tie in downtown so nicely! I just wish it was going to be ready before the Super Bowl!
  4. OMG YAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAS!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
  5. Yeah true, but Hines seems to respect Houston enough where I don't believe its impossible that he decides to restore it. Especially since they don't have clear direction on what they want to do with the building, one would only wonder what other options there would be other than demoing the building and starting over. Seems like they're going to really weigh every option. You also have to think about how many developers are continuing the trend by restoring older structures. Hines has to take notice. Yeah, it just seems perfect for them to actually invest in doing that considering the trend among other developers.
  6. Nice move by Franks to add more room.
  7. Yeah work is well underway with utility work being done first
  8. Wow that sucks! I pray this building is saved!
  9. http://www.uptown-houston.com/news/page/post-oak-boulevard-dedicated-bus-lanes If you scroll down you'll see the City of Houston Memo and a few other things involving the BRT lanes. Great news after those jerks tried to take this before a judge who thankfully dismissed the charges.
  10. I have pics from this past wknd I'll post
  11. For anyone interested in the BRT lanes veing installed alobg Post Oak Blvd... the recent news is very positive... so excited to see this moving forward... the Attorney General basically washed his hands on the issue... I wonder how pissed off those who are against the BRT lanes are now? Lol Uptown-houston.com
  12. This over budget crap is non sense... what was the city budgeting for, some 8 by 11 copies from a Xerox machine to glue to a building. How in the hell do you go over budget on projects that you should already estimate high on?
  13. This has possibly been the plan the entire time... I hope this forces that little plaza across the street where Twin Peaks is at to remodel... that little area has so much untapped potential
  14. I'd say the bottom one is the only one that is close to real... but notice the clear blue skies in the first few... the water simulation for the pool is off, looks like clear mercury... and there is no real shadow cast the way light actually acts in real life... just too perfect... we do this a lot at my job... its still nice though
  15. You do understand a lot of this has to do with the population living downtown right? With the immediate increase of people living in both downtown and midtown and with quick access via rail, this is far from some 70's attempt at a revival.
  16. I couldn't agree more. The 99 cent store off Main is a cool little store to find quick things. I mean you're in the city, and people want suburbia. I don't get that. I went to a concert recently at Toyota Center and it wasn't difficult to see the difference in those who live or grew up in the city and those who didn't. Some of those people looked terrified.
