  1. Because dallas likes to brag about everything they build, yet everything they build is not that impressive And why are all those people pictured in downtown dallas?
  2. Hey even though it a government facility, it's def an upgrade for the area
  3. So the park itself? What happens there? Is the park moving foward just not the apartments?
  4. You're giving him too much credit LTAWACS calling him an ape... but man how can we replace this guy with maybe someone like Mr. Hines?
  5. It really is because of the oil crash back in the day. This city is now just barely getting back in the groove of where it left off. Says a lot about the resilience of Houston. Many other cities have a hard time recovering from what has been their brand. Look at cities in the Midwest as a prime example. The good thing is Houston is diversifying beyond just oil, with green energy. And the new ideas surfacing from the space program, or what's left of it. And our medical field is booming.
  6. Anyone have pics of the concert pavilion?
  7. Man talk about having an awesome vibe outside the stadium. We are easily going to have one of the best baseball environments for national media.
  8. I love this idea. We can tear it down and redesign an elevated path. You still get the great views of downtown.
  9. Very well put point. I would like to see a couple more incentives in place, just until things begin to stabilize on their own. I completely agree though with your comment.
  10. I think that may be something they could be working towards. I expect for us to begin seeing new retail downtown once these residential projects are about halfway to 3/4 way done.
  11. Thank goodness! My girlfriend goes to UHD, and we tried to get off at this stop to walk to her car a few weeks ago and there was no way through.
  12. I really believe this has a strong chance of happening. If Houston would embrace more of what it is and not what it isn't, people would begin to appreciate it more. I love how the article talks about all the doubters for Discovery Green. Like it isn't complicated, you can't go wrong with a park! And I would love for this city to continue embracing how green it is year round.
