So the biggest fast food chain also happens to produce a lot of items that end up as litter....shocked.   But why are we putting this on them? Once a person purchases their food its theirs a

McDonald’s has owned this land since 1988 it looks like. They sold a bit to RD so he can build The Titan, now Astoria.

I hate to admit this, but I'm actually starting to like it.  The tin feature under the windows is awful and the crown is disgusting but something keeps my intrigued.

I have to stare at this mess every day at work.  I feel like the renderings were a sham.  I was excited for a while but now that the paint color and design are so much different, I can't stand it.  I hate the weird silver are the top with the obvious and random door,  It makes no since to have such a different color then the rest of the building.  The weird designs at the bottom seem off.  I have watched them paint over them and redo them many times.  It would look slightly better if the left he alternating ray and white stripes to the bottom over the solid gray block they settled on.  If I had bought a unit in this building I would feel ripped off.

I agree the bigger windows would be better all the way down and if it was not so horribly asymmetrical.

The last photo above presents this POS in the best possible light by hiding the garish ornamentation (Trump would be proud), downplaying the exterior treatment of the tower, and also hiding the ridiculous pyramid at the top. The Arabella leaves me with some hope based on the renderings that have been released, but with Randall Davis, the architectural bar is low.

You have to look at it with the traffic signal in last pic to balance out the two Davis's bldg.s, just saying.

The Traffic signal reminds me of a mask in one of Picasso's paintings, Perhaps "Les Demoiselles de Avignon", in some kind of composition .

Nice shot!

i have to say between the facade and the lobby, i love that this guy had the courage and the heart to have visually impaired children give their input in the planning, design and decorating of this project...

i recently got a sneak peak at the rendering for 1616 Post Oak (Dinerstein Property).  Astoria will look like even more of a joke next to the Dinerstein job.

^^^ totally awesome revelation tangledwoods.  if you cannot spare the stunning details... then maybe shed a few clues for your HAIF brethren... please....

I can't wait to hear someone defend this atrocious interior. It looks like an old movie theater lobby or a scene in one of the superman

movies. The Gotham city tower of justice. Thank God that sculpture didn't end up on the outside.

Lock him up! Fire his architects and take away his etch a sketch.
