Looks like prep for a groundbreaking ceremony? Is that mulch on the pallet?

Also, is the chain link fence for this lot or leftover from the parking garage work?

Didn't look closely at the bags but the fence is from the garage work.

Saw the tree removal permit on a walk today.

Well like other projects downtown, that means this one is going up soon. From previous markings they did a year or two ago, they have asked the city to encroach pretty deep into its ROW which means that the trees will only get in the way of having a decent size sidewalk.

Hope your right Luminare.  This project has had so many starts and stops it was feeling like Charlie Brown and Lucy with the football. Too bad about the trees though, but if it goes up it will be a decent addition to the skyline view along I-69.

If what transpired at Block 387 near the METRO building is any indicator then this should be the case.

The project is underway.  They are currently working on underground utilities.

Cars were parked in the lot during the march on Tuesday when you posted this.. Unless the underground utilities were in the city ROW/not interfering with parking.

Not much happening construction-wise, but I ran by there yesterday and they were removing the parking signs from the entrances.  It’s not much. . . but it’s something.

So much for this one starting soon lol?

Maybe we need to confirm if this is an active parking situation... meaning... are the signs indicating this is parking gone? Are there places to pay? access is available?

groundbreaking tends to get delayed on most projects.

Nice edition but will be cloaked from view from all sides of downtown except the east side. In-fill is still good tho.

You might be pleasantly surprised driving in from 45 North. I think it's going to stand out almost as much as the Hess Tower and help fill the gap between it and the Marriott Marquis.

Best kind, such a small and weird lot. The views from the units looking north will be super sweet.

Great use of the small plot of land they have to work with.

What are the benefits for a developer being confined to such a small, confined lot? At first glance, it's hardly big enough for a row of portable potties much less a highrise. It seems like if I was the developer, I'd want a full city block or at least half of one. Is it as simple as the price of the lot?

Went by here earlier this morning and saw what looked like superintendents and project managers walking the site.  Again, nothing matters until dirt turns but hopefully this is more of a positive sign that we should see/hear something soon.

You are correct, it was superintendents and PM's.  That was a meeting with the city for re-striping and lane closure.
