You're welcome. I do my best to search the forum beforehand to see if there is an ongoing thread. However, I noticed topics weren't appearing in the search. I began second guessing myself because I remembered seeing the topics. Still, the search brought up nothing. I then scrolled through the forum and found the topic, clicked on it, and it was archived. Now that we know that archived topics is a recent action across the forum, let's hope it can be undone.

Thank you. I see you sent a personal message later in the morning after my post. I appreciate it. I'll respond momentarily. Fingers crossed that the archiving issue can be resolved. Thanks again.

Yes! This is correct. It was a Luke's hamburger joint at one time but when I moved to Houston, my family went down to Westheimer and loop 610 as Roy Rogers was there in a personal opening. I was very young, probably six years old or so but I was there when he opened Roy Rogers BBQ in Houston, It was very cool!

Correct. I came across this info a while after I made the initial comment — the area was just renewing the special protections that they already had. Nevertheless ... those shackles will not last forever.

Urban Style Developments Coming To College Station
texan replied to citykid09's topic in Bryan-College Station
This project, now called Aspire A&M, has secured construction financing. Hopefully some movement starts soon. I'll be keeping an eye out for it on my next trip through College Station. https://www.multihousingnews.com/harrison-street-jv-lands-loan-for-texas-student-housing/ -

^^^ slow... lethargic... snail's pace... turtle's pace... constipation mode... geriatric's pace... slow motion... freeze frame... ketchup in a bottle's pace... you know, the very standard for houston city officials never getting things done unlike other big cities within our great state. It's nowhere near ROCKET SCIENCE...

Gotta love them (presumably) actually listening to some feedback. It would really dampen that part of the hike and bike trail if there was suddenly a big parking lot to your left- 29 replies

I'm thinking a shaded waiting area with swings ( like the car wash at Montrose and Dallas) might be nice😃 Maybe a way to clean, vacuum, windex out my car🧐 uhmmmm WiFi maybe, with plug ins to recharge my phone😍 ooooow one of those fancy Japanese (or Swedish) food and drink machines?😁 a tiny free little library up on a pole?🥳

Waterline: Mixed-Use Building to be Tallest Tower In Texas
Big E replied to Urbannizer's topic in Austin
Because this is a thread about a building in Austin? Why would he ask about the vacancy rates in Chicago? -
Thanks for posting this. Before I open a new topic I always perform a search to see if one already exists. I did this recently with Hollywood Cemetery. Nothing came up on search so I opened a new topic. Within an hour a mod merged my post with an existing topic. I thought I was going crazy. The “archived” issue explains it. Thanks!

It seems that one thing our Major League Baseball and football teams have in common is their owners are not very good on the development end. I also think Crane made a terrible mistake in getting rid of his G.M> All the guy did was got them to the A.L. Championship series. I know their pitching has had problems but it now seems there is a lot of turmoil on the team. No love. If it aint broke don't fix it. Is Abreu getting ready for social security? I bet this affects their plans for moving forward on their village plans.

ARTECHOUSE will be opening a location here. I've personally met artists working on the project and they told me the tentative opening date is sometime in September. Their website already has job listings for the new location. https://www.artechouse.com/jobs/- 34 replies
