lockmat
Pitiful. At first glance it reminded me of a mix between On Park Place and that tall residential tower southwest of 610/I-10.
jackie21love
A higher tower should be a better fit

H-Town Man
Looks like half of it's parking and no GFR, even though facing a park. Will add to the urban environment from a distance, not really up close.

This includes GFR on Gray St. The height for this building will be 218' feet.
Texasota
*phew* the mansion is staying. The new building isn't pretty but it's better than the surface lot that's there now.
astros148
jesus no patios either? this place looks awful and the downtown views there arent the best. most of the buildings in that area need to be powerwashed anyways.
KinkaidAlum
The Kirby Mansion (real one) deserves better.
lockmat
the silver lining is that there will be a public access strip running north/south just west of the building and the southeast side will have retail.
HNathoo
It's not the prettiest structure, but adding a tower of that density to midtown is a win to me.

lockmat
it looks like they're trying to stay consistent with the building already there. whats in there anyway, a law office or something?

j_cuevas713
These are the kinds of buildings Midtown needs. So what's the timeline? Edited October 24, 2015 by j_cuevas713

H-Town Man
I'm surprised they're trying an office at this point. This is what, the third proposed new office building in Midtown, and we haven't seen any movement on the previous two. Then there's the renovated Central Plaza coming online soon.
j_cuevas713
I'm not understanding how some of you think this isn't a nice building. It's not just a box of glass but it actually has some character with the brick and nice roof.
terra002
Definitely one of the ugliest buildings I've ever seen.
Avossos
I think this could look really good. Happy to see something that isn't a glass box
fkp5
The architect is the same as One Park Place, so it should turn out pretty good.

cspwal
All we have right now seems to be a very simple drawing - even simpler than what we had with the Market Square Tower. I suspect it will come out looking like a shorter version of OPP, especially if the architect is the same. It should look especially nice from the freeway, where it will look like a a large house as opposed to a high rise
Gator Purify
One of the more exciting projects on the table. I think the overhead 3D rendering is awesome.

asubrt
It reminds me a lot of that building at I-10 and 610 (SW corner) except without the weird green accents

jmitch94
Hopefully we can get a more detailed render so see more of the fine work, but I like it as of now.
