The view out my window in the Rice is looking right down on the progress and I see the drone almost daily. It really must be an asset in construction.
wxman
This thing is rising fast. Now that they’re about to kick off the office floors, my dream of seeing Texas Tower, Hines Apartment highrise across the street and the Allen all between 20 and 30 stories with all the tower cranes on the skyline may be a pipe dream.

Popular Post hindesky
Looks like both tower cranes are going to have to be jumped soon. I assume this galvanized steel poking out is for the glass facade. Edited November 11, 2019 by hindesky

I thought it was a weird feature to include in the design when I first saw it, but I guess the development world is a true blood sport. If you look closely I think you can see one stake for the head of the Regalia at the Park Developer. Truly gruesome... Perhaps one stake for the "International Tower" (International Garage?) adjacent to this building.

Possibly. I know GID was very close as they said, "Please...we will build Regent Square. Just not the stake!" Of course I have no evidence for this, but I can only infer this due to the fact they have actually started, and won't sit on it for another 10 years. Then again, could be just a coincidence. Nate99
Maybe this will help. From back on ~ p.16 of the thread - the stakes will be there to shelter you as you wait to be seated to enjoy your steaks.

ChannelTwoNews
I'm consistently impressed at how quickly this project is coming out of the ground. It's the one I'm looking forward to most, for somewhat personal reasons, when I get back in town in a month. It was actually the last project I wanted to shoot before leaving last January - the last time I was in the area. A blowout on one of my tires put those plans on hold as my family needed to get back on the road and were already running late. Needless to say, I am eager to see how this and everything else is panning out. Already looking forward to a couple of days of just shooting around town, mixed in with time with relatives. Soon enough!
