Subdude
To me this is one of those rare cases where the building as constructed looks better than it did in the renderings.

bobruss
That reflection is wonderful and sure it would be nice if it was 50 floors taller, but you didn't get that view from Foleys.

Yeah, that's what I always tell myself. Although we all wish it was taller, it certainly is a large improvement in height from Macy's/Foley's. Nate99
All thats left is for another developer to tear down the old Macys garage and add another tower IIRC, Hillcorp owns the whole block with the Americana building and the Macy's garage.

tigereye
Seen at lunch: Looks like work on the southbound plaza has begun. Perimeter fence pulled back. Bricks on southbound Main St lane are being pulled up now. https://mobile.twitter.com/ThaChadwick/status/652174309620715520/photo/1

cspwal
I took a look at the Helicopter chart for Houston; there were 3 helipads marked in downtown (the ones with an x on the right hand side). Only the St. Joseph helipad, the Police helipad, and the Aquarium helipad even still have helicopter markings. There are two that the pad is gone, and another that the pad was used for satellite dishes.
