j_cuevas713
I thought Post Oak Shopping Center was the one on the corner of San Felipe and Post Oak? The one where the Starbucks is at is on Westheimer and Post Oak. Aren’t these two different centers or are they one massive center?  Edited December 27, 2021 by j_cuevas713
gene
Post Oak Plaza is where Luby's was and Post Oak Shopping Center is where Starbucks is
Sunstar
From what I’ve seen online, this looks like more like a facelift rather than a complete redevelopment.

This location is always packed so I know it would do well here. I'm sure everyone already knows what Starbucks Reserve is, but for those who don't, its basically like a MEGA Starbucks. They have "gourmet food," a full bakery, even cocktails/ alcoholic drinks! Theres only 6 in the world, but who knows. As a point of historical/architectural interest: The Starbucks Reserve in that photo used to be the Crate and Barrel flagship store. You can still see how the form was a crate shape and a barrel shape, though the Starbucks renovation smoothed out a lot of that. I know the guy who designed it, and even with all the giant fancy glass towers he's done all over the world, it's still one of his favorite buildings.   The architecture firm is across the street, and he deliberately got a particular office so that he can look down on it while he's working. Here's what it looked like before Starbucks. From HAIF's sister site. 9

IntheKnowHouston
Moving into the Kenny & Ziggy's former unit at Post Oak Shopping Center is The Honey Hole. This is a new dining establishment from the proprietors of Swamp Chicken and Prey (located at Blvd Place). The descriptors listed on the restaurant's entity filing are bistro and brunch bar. I assume the menu will have a Southern, possibly Louisiana slant based on the owner's other restaurants. The address for the Honey Hole is 2327 Post Oak Blvd. Post Oak Shopping Center is located in the Galleria/Uptown area at 2019-2521 Post Oak Blvd. https://www.instagram.com/thehoneyhole_ Edited September 6, 2022 by IntheKnowHouston

IntheKnowHouston
Yokoso Hospitality is opening a speakeasy concept, according to recent job listings. The exact location is not included in the listing. However, Uptown is the general area for the bar and/or lounge. Previously known as Eighty Six'd, the restaurant group has three businesses in Post Oak Shopping Center: Ducky McShweeney's, Sushi on Post Oak (SoPo), and Toque. Perhaps the speakeasy is opening in the same retail center?  https://poachedjobs.com/jobs/houston-tx-bar-jobs-yokoso-hospitality-group-mixologist
