Looking at Us-Living.com's marketing it's more or less geared to zillennial yuppie vibes for spendthrift consumers of Washington Avenue by night and white-collars-over-tattoos office employment by day and by evening.

I would prefer to see someone else develop this later on when it's ripe for financing.

That's in part because I would anticipate Us-Living skimps on architecture to splurge on amenities representing a lifestyle straight-from-ATX-well-at-least-from-The Domain-ATX replete with indoor outdoor coworking kayakshare boathouse beneath rooftop infinity-edge riverview yoga studio

Sorry for the horrible pic - dirt is being moved around

Dirt has been moving around for a few months now. One strange thing I have noticed is most of the activity I have seen with dump trucks on the site is typically on Saturdays (typically very quiet on the weekdays)

Just my 2c, I hope they carve up the site into small Rainey Street slots, develop a couple of towers and pocket parks...and open the rest up for ground leases for suitably cool neighborhood towers to develop on others' dimes

It would form a western anchor to the Washington Avenue corridor

Posted some of these pics on IG, someone mentioned that the new hike/bike trail is also doing some work here.

I haven't seen any state or city permits for this so I think the person who commented might wrong. It's in the planning stages but no shovels in the ground yet. Last permits I saw for anywhere on the Buffalo Bayou hike/bike trails were for the east side between the Union Pacific bridge over Buffalo Bayou and Jensen St. which included trails for both the north and south side.

That was a screen scrape from Google Maps, not my photo (proper credit where due).

And of course, in typical HAIF fashion, we already have a topic on it! Efficiency!

Based on the location that's starred in the article's photo, it's possible St. Regis Residences is one of the two multifamily residential developments discussed in this topic:

https://www.houstonarchitecture.com/haif/topic/154-two-30-story-multifamily-high-rises-on-memorial-dr-at-buffalo-bayou/

The location described in the article seems to coincide:

The St. Regis Residences, Houston, will rise on Asbury Place, just north of Buffalo Bayou and the blue-chip River Oaks neighborhood.

County records list the parcel is owned by US Living Memorial and Asbury LLC (also listed as US Living Memorial & Asbury LLC in the county clerk's property records.) The parcel is 9.25 acres. 0 Asbury Place is the parcel address.

I think there are at least two street addresses located on the parcel: 100 Asbury Place (100 Asbury Pl) and 102 Asbury Place (102 Asbury Pl). According to the article, the St. Regis condominiums will be situated on four acres:

Perhaps, St Regis Residences will be located at 100 Asbury Place. @hindesky snapped a photo in late October of a of a TCEQ Large Construction Site Notice. The address listed on the notice is 100 Asbury Place.

Satya filed two entitles earlier this year for St. Regis Residences:

  • SR Luxury, LLC
  • SR Luxury Condominium, LTD

From the Realty News Report article:

The St. Regis Residences, Houston are not owned, developed or sold by Marriott International, Inc., or its affiliates. SR Luxury Condominium, LTD uses the St. Regis marks under a license from Marriott.
