That required visibility triangle goes through their stairwell right there. Also, this is on a primary Walkable Place street, so I think they have to provide some amenities that might not be picture. Will be interesting to see if the variance request is granted.

I reached out to them on Instagram a few weeks ago about when they are going to open, and they said that they are hoping for "Early June". -

@emmanume I completely forgot to give you a ring last night! I'm so sorry. We can touch base this weekend. I do have some good news, this TxDOT project is still on, but it has been bumped back to Fiscal Year 2024 and is funded. I know we are in a tangentially related thread, but this is the location of the connector I was referencing: -
I saw an article the other day about how a bunch of solar projects are getting pushed back (1-2 years) because of a lack of available solar cells. I wonder if this will meet the same fate.

I had heard that they have plans to build a structure in the lawn area on the Felix Fraga campus. Maybe this is actually the project. Yeah, I definitely remember that, but I thought I saw some initial new foundation work. I could totally be wrong. I honestly feel about 20% positive about this. -

It appears that this is a TxDOT project that did receive funding for the 2022 FY via HGAC's call for projects in 2018. It is project number 267 from this list (it is on page 2). Here is the application page. I just sent a few emails to see what the deal is. Edit: brief update, the Cohn to Memorial Park connector had their funding pushed back to FY 2023 because of some HGAC timing thing, so this may be a similar situation. They were allocated $2.4 million in matching funds to pay for this project, though. -

I completely agree. Especially in the East End forum where we don't get a ton of activity. Also, do we have a thread about the SW corner of Milby @ Navigation? Looks like some site work is happening. -
Olshan Lumber Company At 2600 Commerce St.
wilcal replied to JBTX's topic in EaDo, the East End, and East Houston
Drove by yesterday, and this could be nothing, but I only saw for lease signs on the red brick building and the lot south of commerce. Not the main lumber lot. Can you link the listing? I'm not seeing it on their site. -

I'm pretty sure there is already a plan to build a bridge near Patterson. I honestly don't remember whose plan it is at this point lol. -
Tesla Repair Center At 6010 Richmond Ave.

No, they would be replatting to lots if they wanted to do townhomes. It'll be some form of multifamily or commercial. -

Well, that's honestly kind of shame, but that is good that they need the production space. If they wanted to change it, then they have the space to do so. -

Great spot for a brewery! More life on Navigation is great. Site looks like a perfect place for them to utilize existing structures and have a great outdoor area/parking. -
I don't think that the Meow Wolf deal is done, but sounds like it is still very promising.

As mentioned in the other thread, looks like the owner of the one next door bought this one at the beginning of last year. Some residential makes a lot of sense right here since the restaurants/bars/etc are relatively close in Midtown. Only 3 blocks to the light rail/downtown transit center and it is actually connected with the tunnel system via skywalk.

First, thank you for submitting a 311 ticket. Second, I have also received shockingly competent/quick repair service when it comes to ped lights. I once submitted one at almost 8PM on a Sunday night and it was fixed my Monday morning at like 5am. With that being said, these things vary highly by department. I have an outstanding bandit sign one that is almost 5 months old. Parking tickets regularly take more than a week to investigate (super effective... not).

Also didn't they just have a baby as well? I would imagine that the extra space would be welcomed.

No matter what he is getting a massive raise. Hundreds of millions. So I'd like to think he is just moving to a nicer spot with better security.
