  1. Yeah, it is really either way. You can either check in or check out a bike at a station for it to count. I would mostly just do the same one. I think I'm going to try to hit all of them 👀
  2. https://www.houstonbcycle.com/tour-de-bcycle2022 TLDR: $25 registration cost and comes with a water bottle and the ability to earn prizes $5 off for registration before Oct 1 with code EarlyBird Earn points by "completing a neighborhood" by visiting every station in that hood. You earn a real-life sticker for each neighborhood badge that you complete You can trade the points you earn into redemptions (no list out yet) They are going to organize group rides to get entire neighborhoods
  3. Temp bike lane has been construction equipment free for a few weeks now. Not sure if they just finished or if a message got across from someone.
  4. I will eat a baseball glove if Academy or Dicks comes into this location. Additional note about this one, they have to go through the JRC process to have this alley abandoned by the city before they can move forward, so that will add to any "fastest possible" timeline if they are going that route.
  5. Ok, I'll at least agree that it is worse to pay Scott Adams for reruns instead of printing his woke strips.
  6. I wish the Chronicle would stop wasting my subscriber dollars by giving any of them to Scott Adams.
  7. LFG!!!!! I'll reduce my anger towards the owners slightly for putting up signs against the Spur park project.
  8. The answer evidently is yes, but the issue is that the distance between floors is pretty tight so it would make for some low ceilings. Clearly it is just valuable enough to not tear down.
  9. This is a great pic to show the location of two projects across the bayou. The red parcel is 800 Middle Street, an affordable housing project which Hindesky has a few other photos of: The blue parcel is city owned and they were doing an RFP for the development which included this proposal:
  10. Was on the light rail this morning and one of the construction workers hopped off the train and was right at work. Pretty convenient stop!
  11. Cuchara has announced that they have bought out Max's lease and are expanding to take the rest of the building: https://houstonfoodfinder.com/news/cuchara-max-montrose-houston-news/
  12. Really enjoyed it. Recognizing film locations and the rapper cameos was half of the fun. Was produced by A24 and felt like it.
  13. Ly's is good! They were planning on expanding into the space next door but I think it is on pause. I've been resisting going to Spec's when they pushed so hard against closing the spur to Bagby 🤐
  14. That is great news. They've got a few other locations but are big enough that they do some barrel picks.
  15. Funny, my first thought was about how much extra they are going to have to charge for the bbq to pay for all of that parking 😁 Looked up the pricing from the Dallas location. $14.50 for a sausage sandwich by itself.
  16. I imported a Kei truck from Japan last year and shipped it via Ro-ro to Freeport! That is interesting that they are exporting that many vehicles. I wouldn't have guessed.
  17. Fun fact: Houston's historical districts don't actually regulate land-use because that would be zoning. They just regulate appropriateness. Granted, there are a boat-load of deed restrictions which require single family residential, so what you are saying is effectively true.
