  1. That would be wild. I don't think that the property in Midtown has transacted yet, so their lease hasn't ended there. No way that they move without the lease being terminated.
  2. Honestly need some new trees in that naked section STAT. I wonder what entity is best for something like this. It is maintained by CoH Parks but maybe somebody like the East End Management District is interested in helping. I feel like I/we could raise the funds to plat some local trees here.
  3. . how have I missed this thread? It's called the Parking Vault? Most Houston downtown development ever. Lyric still going to keep the crown for coolest garage though.
  4. This is my blurry pic while riding yesterday morning. Just a few :/
  5. This is the nearly 1 acre parcel along the Harrisburg Trail. Trees in the lot were started to be cleared with some machinery on site. I ride my bike along the trail to work most days, so I think they started yesterday This is the design from the final plat which was recorded in Sept of last year: The reserve in the SE corner is for drainage/open space. I'm hoping that they embrace the trail with their design even though they have a few front-loaders. Lot #19 with the hitch in order to have trail frontage is hopefully a good sign, but only 5 homes will have frontage along the trail. The lots along Sherman are all about 1,460 sq ft, and the internal lots vary between 1,600 and 2,800. I'll snap a few pics on my ride home today.
  6. If anyone hasn't been to Nancy's Hustle still, it just continues to be top notch. I'm impressed every time I go.
  7. I've definitely seen some cars doing burnouts in the lot. Maybe they want to keep cars out?
  8. I'm not 100%, but I'm pretty sure that is all that they build. This site is about 50% bigger than The Exchange from Hardy Yards which has 300 units with 151 of them being affordable. https://affordablehousinghouston.com/stores/red-line-station-apartments-the-exchange/ 3800 Main is about 1/3 of the size and has 319 units (161 affordable): https://www.3800main.com/ I'm personally hoping for something like a 4-5 story building with some retail options.
  9. That is the plat that I was talking about. They recorded the plat last fall: At one point the name that they supplied for the plat was Champs Pizza. This parcel is not part of the Concept Neighborhood project, so while it is possible they would go here, it would make more sense to me that they would end up in all of the hundreds of thousands of sq ft of planned development immediately next to this. But that is purely a guess. Edit: Sent Angie's a message on Instagram. We'll see if they reply.
  10. Eastwood Civic Club announced that METRO has agreed to work towards a BRT/pedestrian-only underpass for the crossing at the UP railroad tracks on Lockwood just south of Harrisburg. I really think that this is the best result. No elevated BRT station at Harrisburg will be required now, either.
  11. Can you link more info about Angie's? That parcel was replatted as "Champ's Pizza" last year.
  12. Mimo lunch menu for this week. Said that they are open 11:30-3 today. Don't think they are doing diinner, yet.
  13. Dude, you are looking at old pictures. It has been completed. I see people playing basketball there regularly.
  14. There's a parking variance in for this site. Exiting 6,223 sq ft structure for retail/restaurant use. Signs are up. Required parking is 49 spots and they are requesting to have 28. Being heard at the April 13 Planning Commission meeting. If you'd like to give your commentary, email: speakercomments.pc@houstontx.gov
  15. Whatever they have planned, I imagine that they will be platting the property. I could see this going any direction, but it is surrounded on all sides unrestricted reserves and not townhomes.
  16. All of the other locations said 3 or after, 4 or after, etc, but the LRB said 4-4:15, so that is why I asked. I could probably do 4 or later, but a 15 minute would be a little tight!
  17. Almost a 0% chance. Conroe is way too close to IAH. A Katy-ish option is the only thing that would make sense, and I can't imagine that there is enough demand. Who would even serve it? A single AA regional jet to DFW like Beaumont gets? Southwest and UA would be out. It wouldn't be dense enough for any LCC.
  18. Saw this yesterday on Capitol I think while I was on my bike. So weird.
  19. Here is the recorded plat. It'll be 9 homes. 6 on a shared driveway with the 3 along jefferson street being front-loading townhomes. RcrdSRM_2022-1737_Milby Manors_SRM.tif
  20. Kroger on Polk is a 13 minute .6 mile walk according to Google Maps.
  21. Went to Mimo yesterday and it was quite good! They said that they are going to try to start some lunch service this week on Wednesday and add dinner later this month. As y'all know, the weather was absolutely stunning yesterday. A nice meal on the patio! .
  22. MIMO has announced their first "FEAST" on March 5. It does say it is on the patio. Approx $50/person for a five course with some wine: https://www.instagram.com/p/Co74VIpJjui/ https://www.eventbrite.com/e/feast-spring-tickets-557796734047
