  1. The former Mia Bella place I hope gets a tenant soon because if the plumbing/electrical issue really is a nightmare then I would hate for the city to find a reason to lose this place all together.
  2. I mean we def need a dedicated lane for the Green and Purple lines but we wouldn't be the laughing stock. I mean other cities face similar situations with their transit as well. The only thing I don't like is having to turn ON the track like you have to do in the TMC. I would much rather have the lane next to the tracks as the designated turning lane.
  3. Man I wish more shopping strips looked like this!
  4. Wow this is gonna be a nice addition to the area
  5. http://www.chron.com/business/real-estate/article/Downtown-property-owner-files-lawsuit-to-halt-7375374.php
  6. The only thing I wish that building would do is updgrade the sidewalks. Those things look hideous downtown.
  7. No I'm speaking more on if it affects his ability to even look over any lawsuits filed. Like how does this effect him being able to do his job?
  8. Feds file fraud charges against Ken Paxton Not sure how big of an impact this has on anything but curious if anyone knows.
  9. Wow they have some big you know what to do that bs
  10. HAHAHA! Man there is no way they have a case. They are fighting tooth and nail with whatever they can. Wayne Dolefino!? HAHAHA! Dude needs to get a life.
  11. I feel like I just read a verse from the Bible. But yes you are right Monarch. I mean but still, I think it would look good to visitors for them to see construction.
  12. Why couldn't you just take the bus and transfer? Any rail system is simply a compliment to its bus system. I'm sure you could still use public transportation and not have to use your car. The good thing about the location is it will force development in this area even more. So while I agree that this would be nice downtown, I think in order to speed up the process this is what's needed.
  13. Doesn't look like this is gonna happen guys. The original sign that was on either corner of the block with the revised rendering has been taken down. There are new signs that say RETAIL SPACE FOR LEASE on the half block where that Vietnamese restaurant was.
  14. What would be awesome is if both lots were filled with residential, that would def make up for demoing this building.
  15. Cause its not about ridership its about politics... the entire system is an overall success and they will still find some bs to claim how it won't work in any other part of the city... in much the same way those idiots in Uptown sued the city because of the BRT lanes claiming they won't ease congestion, which is bs... I guarantee those BRT buses are going to be packed all the time which is going to create less traffic and in return redevelop that area. Also once those BRT lanes are finished, expect to hear more about the University Line
  16. I really hate seeing this building go... I'm actually right next to it now... I mean we will have a crater on this side of DT... right next to the massive Chase tower... idk, just hope something replaces one of these lots soon because this is depressing... you have a boom and to replace all the great construction you have Skanska build a garage and the Chronicle building coming down.
  17. Wow that's awesome! Retail is going to explode downtown very soon!
  18. No I'm not saying that nor am I saying it needs to be a grid. What I am saying is that when the city approves a particular development, they need to fully consider how it interacts with pedestrians. And unless the developer can meet those needs, then the project should be postponed, etc. The problem is every project is approved. Developers seem to run this city and the city does little to create a standard for development.
