hindesky
I talked with a couple workers and they said these 2 buildings are part of the same project. They said the eastern building is the bicycle shop and the western building the clothing boutique. I don't think this is part of the projected Fairview Collective. A house sits on the property but the permit connects to SFT Investments and their entity Fairview Corridor. Planned for the site is an Italian restaurant from one of the owners of Pass & Provisions. The restaurant is named Elro. Elro is on Instagram if any of you want to follow for updates: @elrohtx The publicist hired for Elro distributed press releases announcing the new restaurant planned for a bungalow at 2405 Genesee. This is part of the Fairview District. CultureMap and other publications reported the news in early January. Elro anticipates a summer opening. From CultureMap: ...the new restaurant will be a considerably more casual affair than his former establishment. Named for Gallivan's children Eleanor and Ronan, ElRo will serve creative pizzas, crudos, salads, snacks, and sandwiches. https://houston.culturemap.com/news/restaurants-bars/01-13-22-elro-pizza-new-restaurant-pizzeria-terrence-gallivan-midtown-pass-provisions/ Edited January 19, 2022 by IntheKnowHouston
hindesky
Terrance Gallivan from Pass and Provisions is opening a retail store and a restaurant next door called Elro Pizzaria/Crudo Bar. CREguy13
This stretch of Tuam and Fairview is really picking up pedestrian traffic and nearby residents. Will be great to see this being a solid connector between Midtown and Montrose, creating a nice little corridor. Tuam is set up well for this.

IntheKnowHouston
Great find, @hindesky! Jethro's Backyard, coming to 95 Tuam, Suite 102, is a casual bar & grill restaurant concept from Los Angeles restaurateurs. The restaurateurs are the proprietors of Texas-style barbecue restaurant Horse Thief BBQ and Cafe Birdie in Los Angeles. According to Jethro's Backyard's Instagram, the menu will center around burgers and cocktails. This may also be a beer garden. Trademark filings for the logo lists beer garden as one of the goods & services the business plans on providing. The estimated arrival of Jethro's Backyard is early 2023, according to the restaurant's Instagram bio. This should be a fun addition to Midtown. I'm looking forward to seeing the bar's design. To my knowledge, those SFT Investments owned properties all part of SFT Investments' Fairview District.
