Avossos Posted July 15, 2014 Posted July 15, 2014 I was wondering about flooding in some of these places, don't you think? I can tell you it does not flood at all in this area. Even during Allison. Quote
Popular Post Triton Posted August 22, 2014 Popular Post Posted August 22, 2014 Sorry it's been a while since I've uploaded anything. I prefer to bike ride when I take these photos and it's been a little hot recently and I've definitely been busy as well. H-Town Man Posted September 30, 2014 Posted September 30, 2014 better pic On the left there it looks like they've removed the grass and maybe some dirt from the underground reservoir ("Cistern") since my April 2014 Google Earth view. Anyone know what's going on? Quote
Naviguessor Posted September 30, 2014 Posted September 30, 2014 Regarding the Cistern. The Sky Lawn and Pavilion is going in. Lot of work going on there. Heard a rumor even that BBP has made a decision/plan for the cistern itself. Art Space or some sort?? Quote
Texasota Posted October 20, 2014 Posted October 20, 2014 Assuming that most of that is EIFS, it's going to look very, very cheap. The first two floors look like rusticated stone/concrete, but there is zero detailing. The should have just gone all out modern/contemporary; the pasted-on historicist silliness just makes it look that much cheaper. 1 Quote
Avossos Posted October 20, 2014 Posted October 20, 2014 This developer also did the building on the corner of washington and Sawyer... Which also looks very cheap. Quote

When will they learn that it's actually cheaper (in terms of costs) to actually go with a more modern/contemporary look instead of this junk! Having to spend money on stone takes away money that can be spent in other places including finer finishes if they went to a more modern/contemporary look. It boggles the mind how silly this is -.- Quote

hindesky Posted May 9, 2015 Posted May 9, 2015 Shame they won't go higher but at least they won't have to worry about anything being built to block their great view of downtown. 2 Quote

monarch Posted August 18, 2015 Posted August 18, 2015 ^^^ props urbannizer, for the illustration. however, are those back exterior poles strong enough to safely and accurately support a three story structure? something doesn't look right here.... 1 Quote
