With that timeline, they're either not starting on it for a while or TxDot is the contractor.

is this project dead?

Not officially. But there's been no movement on it yet after they released the pictures and did some preliminary work. Which is more than I can say for the owner of the Astros is doing with his supposed redevelopment.

Any idea why there’s been no news on Crane’s project?

At this point? Who knows. You think winning the World Series would have been the perfect setup for an announcement, but at this point, your guess is as good as anyone elses.

McNair Interests is unloading their legacy development on Post Oak Blvd.

A few days ago, I noticed a listing on Loopnet with a Transwestern marketing flyer.

This is prime real estate! Now that McNair is no longer interested, I wonder who will buy the land to create another legacy Uptown development.  Midway Companies, Hanover, Hines?

I really, really liked the proposals at this site and I am disappointed. Let's hope another company proposes a 60+ story skyscraper here!

Site visit today.  I really hope that Williams Tower gets a sibling soon and another 60 story skyscraper will be built here.

We should see the blue Transwestern signage appear any day/week now.

A sad remembrance of the glass facade mock up that was built a few years ago.

I doubt anything gets built here anytime soon. Other vacant lots sitting in the Uptown area have little to no activity, and this is no different from them. McNair was probably the only chance we had of getting anything on this lot in the near to midterm future. So much for that.
