  1. While moving my (not quite as) fat (as before) carcass around Memorial Park yesterday, I caught this in action... Then I decided the best way to go around the track is clockwise - that way, you don't have to look at The Astoria on that stretch of the trail.. But then again, wanting to get out of that thing's sight range should be good motivation to go faster.... Oh, at the trail is moving about 100' to the north where they are building the tunnels, they need to move the mountain of dirt first.
  2. it's been open for a while. They had Velcro Pygmies today, Ozz last week. Sunday Fundays.
  3. It may have been Alfa. I know it wasn't Fiat since they pulled out of the US market in '82, taking Lancia with them. The remaining Lancia Betas and Zagatos were sold by the people who started Overstock.com, by the way. They were based near Columbus Ohio, there were a lot of Lancias roaming those streets. I can only recall a few Lancias here, Stan's scary AF Scorpion, Chaucer's Beta, and a dude named Rodney in Dallas who stuffed a modern motor in one 20 years ago... Now there's a kid (hah, kid, he's in his 30s) who imported a racing Delta, and there was a Stratos in Houston for a while. I know, it's greek to y'all, take it to the mirafiori forum.. lol
  4. the Chequer Imports sign is still there, with the Lancia and TVR signs still intact.
  5. I helped form the local Fiat club 20 years ago, and we never had a Yugo owner as a member for the 10 years I was around... The guy who had the Yugo parts place was Jay, he started out on Jones Rd near 1960, then moved to Eldridge Road somewhere north of 1960. I had the misfortune of meeting him the day after Clinton bombed the Zastava factory. I'm like, dude, i just need a hood for my Spider, I don't need the long rant... lol
  6. the "points" at Pennzoil Place may look cool from the outside, but they are wasted space inside. You can't do anything with them except make them storage or mechanical areas
  7. that mound looks like it's about 10% of the dirt needs for this project
  8. a team village would be the perfect place for the train.
  9. I think the only time I ever went into this store was Halloween of 84, back when Halloween MEANT SOMTHING in Montrose... lol Yes, we were in costumes... lol
  10. it will fix itself once the new 59 South exit ramp is finished and opened
  11. "which Mattress Firm are you at? This one?" "No, I'm at the one on the opposite corner." Just like Starbucks on West Gray.
  12. ^^^ between you, me, and the walls, it's been announced here, and the name of it is in the image above. @gene... was Bjork's sound guy's name Jan? I travelled the country with an Icelandic band, our monitor guy guy was her front of house guy.
  13. huge parking lots are required in a development like this. The concert venue going inside is a 5000 seater, there's not enough parking in the area when you add in the needs of the theater district.
  14. suits are dumb in Texas where it's 100° and 100% humidity at midnight. In places like NYC and London where a hot summer day is 70°, they're ok.
  15. just make sure that if you office there, don't get stuck on the second floor beneath the HoB. We WILL make your life miserable between 3 and 6 when it's sound check time... those suck.
  16. y'all said that about the Capital Tower. I said it was going up. Skanska moved in to this market and struck gold.
  17. that looks like why they put the frame around it, to not damage what is already there.
  18. this one? A talented stone artist could easily save it.
