From a Florida State alum, Congrats UH!!!! Keep winning! -
I actually attended the downtown management district meeting on Thursday and they are planning to add food trucks and other vendors to Main Street Square as a part of the larger main street "beautification" project.

Downtown Houston in 2004 was awesome, I can only imagine what it will be like in 2017.

Eado is definitely on the upswing. Many agents at my broker (yes I'm a real estate agent) have been getting a lot of activity in the area.

Market Square Tower: 40-Story High-Rise At 777 Preston St.

I think they are talking about the garage across the street from the building, not the one behind it on the same block. Either way, I wish Hines bought both garages.- 1,894 replies

Yea it's going to be awesome. I remember Houston getting a lot of high marks for the Super Bowl in 2004 when none of this stuff was around, just some bars on main street and the light rail just opened.

Stowers Building To Become An Aloft Hotel At 820 Fannin St.
Nole23 replied to Urbannizer's topic in Downtown
^^ That's the Melrose building, where Le Meridian will be. -
^^ Christian's Tailgate does all of these things at all of their other locations, karaoke every Friday and Saturday, bingo, trivia, ect. Also in the spring they'll have crawfish and other events. I've been going to the one in Midtown and the Heights for years and they're always doing extremely well. The downtown location will have an awesome patio area which will be a draw. I also feel it is a brand name locally now, especially inside the loop, so with the downtown work crowd, new apts nearby, and all of the bars nearby in the market square area, I see this being very successful. Here's the link to the Facebook page for the downtown location and already has a bunch of favorable reviews. https://www.facebook.com/christiansTailgate

That document was awesome. Thanks for posting it. I can't wait to checkout the rooftop at this place. -
Is there supposed to be retail along Main Street in this building? Is it leased? I haven't walked by this building since my contract at my client downtown ended a while ago but it seemed there was a dead zone along main street....

Just left Christian's Tailgate to catch the game. I really like this location and can't wait until the patio is complete. I had a group of about 10 people and none of them even knew this place existed or was in the works. I guess that's the perks of reading HAIF every day.

Eh. It's about what I expected. With the design of the building I just didn't see how much different they could possibly make it. But we will be getting a new hotel and a street level restaurant/bar so thats good. I'm still excited about it though.

Awesome. I used to go to the one in Midtown all of the time when I lived at Post for 2 years. I hangout downtown more often now so I was pumped when I heard this was coming.
