I absolutely love everything about this project. Historic architecture, apartments, ground floor retail. Looks great.

I agree. That's why the Lyric Center is renovating their lobby ect and adding a parking garage with ground floor retail to improve their property to compete with the downtown market.

Last time I flew United I was leaving Lake Tahoe flying out of Reno and connecting in San Francisco on the way back to Houston. The plane had issues, we had to get off, it was delayed 3 hours, finally got to San Fran, missed the connecting flight and the next available flight to Houston wasn't for like 8 hours, then that flight was delayed 2 hours.... I haven't flown United since... Anyway, I'm glad 609 is getting leased up.

Yea I can't wait to check it out as well. There will also be other restaurants at the street level of the hotel as well as restaurants at the bottom of GRB along the street.

Interesting. Didn't know this was happening. The last few times I was downtown I noticed the gap between Frank's Pizza and Aris, nice to know it will be filled.

Yea I was thinking the same thing. The exterior underneath is ruined. I wonder whose brilliant idea it was to "modernize" a lot of these old buildings a few decades ago with these lousy facades.

lol i noticed that too that they were deleting any comment about them reopening. With that said, I wonder what kind of renovations or changes that they will be making....

Just saw on their FB page. I wonder why. I hadn't really been since I moved out of midtown 2 years ago but assumed it was still pretty popular. Oh well. https://www.facebook.com/celticgardens/?fref=ts

Aspire Post Oak: Multifamily High-Rise At 1616 Post Oak Blvd.

It's as if Downtown and "Uptown" are competing to see who builds the most high-rises. Downtown's infrastructure is way better though.- 1,032 replies

looks like they're done with the base and are starting the apartment tower part. This one seems to have picked up speed.
