  1. OH heck yea!!! I feel as if The Galleria area and Downtown are now competing for development, which is a good thing! find a way to connect a rail line between the two areas.
  2. This corner is a prime location as it is across the street from the JW Marriott and at the intersection of two different rail lines. It also has me thinking about what other buildings downtown have ground floor spaces that can be converted to retail.
  3. Yea it's been amazing. I went to the concerts on friday then ventured over to the bars on main street and people were everywhere. Once all of the hotels are complete, new apartments, it will become the norm for a vibrate downtown. Larger conventions will come to town, more retail will follow. I. Can. Not. Wait!
  4. Yea the back of the Four Seasons and those parking garages on the north side of Dallas Street are blank walls and aren't helping this retail district at all. I'm loving the wider sidewalks and street lights though. It'll pick up momentum now that the construction is nearing completion and when Alessandra opens.
  5. " Don’t have time to run errands? No worries, Market Square Tower’s convenient amenities include runners to pick up dry cleaning, groceries and more. " Facebook
  6. Found their FB page. Here is a photo of their lobby as of March 18th with the caption: " Our lobby area is almost complete! Check out our photos of the day. The lobby will feature a shared check-in desk, two separate breakfast areas and lounges, private dining rooms, two business centers and our 710 Bar & Patio concept. " Might have to checkout their bar/patio.... Facebook Page
  7. I wish they would take the facade off and return it to its previous glory
  8. Houston has a revolving restaurant as well downtown overlooking the city... http://www.hyatt.com/gallery/spindletop/
  9. Opens March 31st according to their website. http://homewoodsuites3.hilton.com/en/hotels/texas/homewood-suites-by-hilton-houston-downtown-HOUTOHW/index.html
  10. Is this building complete now? When does Hilcorp move in? Brand new office building, $100,000 bonuses last year, must be nice!

  12. Yea lots going on downtown today. About to hop in an uber and meetup with friends around market square park for the St Pattys day celebration tonight and hit up bars in the neighborhood.
  13. "Downtown soon will see a spiffed up hotel and a new Texas-inspired restaurant to boot. The Crowne Plaza Houston Downtown will be rebranded as The Whitehall when it emerges from a $5 million renovation on April 14. At the same time the hotel's restaurant, Brazos, will open as Edgar's Hermano with executive chef Sylvia Covarrubias at the helm." http://www.chron.com/entertainment/restaurants-bars/article/The-Whitehall-hotel-to-debut-with-new-6884699.php?utm_source=twitterfeed&utm_medium=twitter#item-38488 http://www.thewhitehallhouston.com/
  14. 500 Crawford posted the picture below on their FB with the caption: "First movers to NEADO, Houston’s neighborhood to watch. Luxury amenities, downtown address, walkable lifestyle, and Minute Maid Park’s next door neighbor" Please NO!!! Ballpark District or Ballpark Village or something other than NEADO lol anyways,...Nice view...

  16. Hard for me to pick just one, but I'm going with Aris because it will have a massive impact on the already vibrate Market Square historic district that I regularly frequent. 2nd place is The Star, then I'm grouping all of the ballpark district apartments (500, Catalyst, Alexan) together as they will all feed off of each other to create a nice neighborhood.
