  1. There is a Houston St that runs through Downtown Dallas. Unfortunately, It borders the book depository and Dealey Plaza....
  2. Wow this looks extremely nice. I can't wait to follow the construction of this.
  3. I'm optimistic the new apartment towers will fill up once they come on board and I'm sure downtown will begin a marketing campaign to promote a new downtown once they begin to deliver. Skyhouse was the very first one to open from the initiative and its in a part of downtown that still has a way to go. The two market square towers, Texaco building, and the two complexes next to Minute Maid I believe will fill up quicker since there's more foot traffic and things to do nearby. One Park Place opened back in 2008 and it has been full ever since.
  4. Awesome. I'm looking forward to this apartment being built and will create a vibrant area near the ballpark with 500 Crawford, the Catalyst, Southwest Building apt conversion, and the hotels, bars, ect already there.
  5. It's already open. I went there last week to check it out and its a country saloon/bbq place with a stage for live music. They knocked out most of the walls so its a big open area. The same central bar from Blackfinn is still there also. I didn't order any food so I'm not sure how the que is.
  6. Nice. I drove by yesterday and saw they have been installing windows on the opposite side. Sorry I didn't get any pics
  7. I actually kind of like that rendering if it were an apartment tower and had retail at the bottom.
  8. I guess the second rendering is just showing what the site looks life if they demolish the building.
  9. I'm hoping for a nice residential tower with ground floor retail with higher end stores and a nice restaurant or two. Then I hope they do something with the corner store on the other side of the block.
  10. Excuse my ignorance, how do condo developments work? Do they usually sell a certain amount of units before beginning construction or do they just start construction like apartments do and hope they sell? Happy Friday.
  11. Not sure if this has been mentioned yet. Bovine and Barley to open next month at 416 Main St. Rendering in the link. Who: Michael Collins (The Refinery Burgers and Whiskey and The Fish) and Jason Lowery (Proof Rooftop Lounge) What: The two-story bar and eatery will feature a menu heavy on meats (burgers, ribs, meatloaf muffins) and snacks (corn fritters, deep-fried apples), along with 42 beers on tap and six draft cocktails. When: Early April Where: 416 Main St. https://www.zagat.com/b/houston/the-23-most-anticipated-houston-restaurant-openings-of-spring-2015
  12. Awesome. Can't wait to watch this one rise and the impact it will have on turning GreenStreet around as a whole.
  13. I haven't heard anything about it going away, but I would assume marketing III Forks Steakhouse would be more appealing to your average traveler than a clothing store. Or maybe I'm just hungry right now.
  14. Have any of the retail spots in the first skyhouse been leased out yet? Haven't been by it in a while.
  15. I'm glad the hotel enterance will face the street and not the interior with other retail space. I'm not sure why large mixed use development would face the interior in the first place...
  16. I just looked up that story again online to see what happened to him after that happened and read that he committed suicide a few months ago. Yea, this small complex is taking forever to build. Skyhouse 15 will be done before this thing.
