I'm fairly sure that ES turned it's back on DG because they knew that they did not own the view and knew that they'd loose the view sooner or later. It'll happen. -

I think I would rather have no supertall at all than a Trump supertall.

DC is a pretty good example of a system built in swampy wet areas. So would Mexico City be. Soft Lakebed there.

McGovern Centennial Gardens At 1500 Hermann Dr.
Naviguessor replied to lockmat's topic in Texas Medical Center
I just saw it yesterday. The mount is much higher than 15 feet. Think 20 to 25 feet. The long berm along the parking lot/south side is about that high. Weddings on the spirilling mount? That'd be a long procession. The couple would look like the figures on top of the Wedding Cake, however.- 114 replies

Bravo! Has to be done. I'm sure that there will be some "praying " around our huge frontage road crosses over this. But, it's time has come.

...they could all use some rehab.

I wonder what they will do with the Pipe Organ in the office? Or the train? Or taxidermy? Christmas village! Trannies... ;-)

^^ Good analogy. Most Churches in this town, after all, do have all the charm and quaintness or most major frontage road auto dealerships.

Where are the 6 story crescents or 12 story neon light Star of Davids? I think we could use of few of these...you know...for balance.

Ok, Cloud. You've convinced me. I now believe that the idea of a TopGolf on the GRB roof, is a great idea. My issue with the idea was aesthetics. A big net cage and the Clubhouse (or whatever they call it) would not look good. But, with Marriott and possibly the other hotel on top of the new garage, much of this could be relatively obscured. In, fact...the Rooftop hotel, could incorporate the golf feature into an amenity which would market well to convention goers. In fact Top Gold would be very popular to a lot of convention goers, as well as downtown workers. It would also be pretty unique. So...I think I am with you on this.

I'll say. Not nearly as sophisticated. Although it looks like it could have the same guts. -

The PrivatAir flight was a KLM scheduled charter. From the Several crew member that I knew, I was told that KLM cancelled the service. The planes went into the Germany/India line. My friends we very sad to pull out of Houston. Most really liked laying over here.

Avensab, Who do you think will be next?
-
Yeah. It'd be a little tight. It's tough for the Flight Crew too. I know a quite a few. But...it does appear that the bird with carry the SAS Livery...which is really all most people here want. That, and bragging rights against DFW. Unfortunately, the plane will only be here between 7:40p-9:35p. So, it won't see much light of day.
