Come on Mr Ckean. Not at all the case. BBP has much invested on the Bayou, east. Lots of private land owners will control, and reap, what happens East. The city can encourage here. But not control. Unlike West of downtown.

Kilejack. It's called sex appeal. Stay at the holiday inn express down the street if you don't want to spurge. -

Big crawler cranes. Not typical of construction cranes. Looks like they are doing some ground work along the bulkhead along the bayou. To me it looks like they may be preparing to lift something to or from a barge. But what? Something heavy. My guess is that whatever it is all for...it'll be heavy-hauled in or out. Love to see the activity here though.

It'd cost them lots of money. And they'd loose. Commercial street. Commercial property. No shared lot lines with residents. Project in keeping with the neighborhood and the city wants to develop Kirby to develop as a commercial/retail corridor. This neighborhood was not able to keep the bars from operating. But, you're right. Emotional neighbors may try. But they've been quiet so far. So...

Was just comparing equipment and seats. Not the route. I am flying to Norway this summer...but not considering this as an option.

...and this plane has been doing similar flights it's whole life. I'd rather fly in a Business class Flight on a small plane than in an Economy seat on a 380. Any day.

On Ralph at Westheimer. Between Mark's and Buffalo Exchange. Large lot also in between that at one time was going to be a residential tower. Some foundation work was even done. I had heard some talk about a hotel there, by the Austin/Hotel San Jose group. Maybe...

Sunday Streets for Houston
Naviguessor replied to trymahjong's topic in Bicycles and Other Low-Impact Modes
Your friends also had plenty of warning, I assume. If I'm told that my street is to be closed. Or that it's being resurfaced, or whatever. I deal with it, by parking my car around the corner. Or plan to use a cab or public transportation. Shouldn't be a big problem. -

It makes the city more fun and enjoyable to live in. Also, spoke with a retailer on Westheimer who said business was amazing. -

What is your ideal transit plan for Houston?
Naviguessor replied to Slick Vik's topic in Traffic and Transportation
The topic is "what's you ideal transit plan...?" Everyone can have an opinion. Please don't take over every other forum with this same rail argument. It's like cancer! -
Yeah. La Quinta makes me a bit nervous too. Don't like what I've been seeing from them lately. My thought is that it will be in in SE corner somewhere. But I can't think of any GOOD location for them. But, more hotel rooms is more hotel rooms.

I could see a circulating monorail in the med center. The anticipated expansion and pending traffic issues could be relieved by satellite parking near freeways and arteries. -

Yep. It's "or". Worth Hoping for. But, until there is a schedule announced, I'm not getting excited. Kind of Like the Transaero news. It's not really news until there is a launch date.

The current PC had a very cool Swanky feel. At least it did the last time I was there. I wish they would keep a similar theme/design. Hope they have a sale.- 690 replies

So...the Judge saying that they can build. But, they have to pay for damages that have been caused and will have to pay damages to future claims awarded by courts? Is that what I am reading? Is that different than how things are for other construction projects/buildings?- 1,446 replies
