Beautiful building a building like this on Post Oak would look great as well!

Right where Grandlux is would be really nice and a redevelopment of the exterior of the Galleria to make it interact with the street more would be nice.

No! Not Avalon Diner! NOOOOOOO! 😭

Quick someone plant some live oaks in the parking lot so those Montrose nimby's save the true heart of Upper Kirby culture.

While I love this design and a great addition for Upper Kirby, Avalon is an absolute institution. It will be so bittersweet if they land a lead tenant to kick this off.

Houston has fantastic weather for shaded terraces and patios. Hope to see more development that embraces it like this one become more common. 50 of these and the building under construction next door spread around inside the loop would be fantastic!

That looks straight up beautiful. Flawless development as of now. My dream is for every strip center inside the loop to be replaced with something like this.

Reminder:  Avalon has relocated before. Hopefully, they will relocate again. Maybe they could move in to the apartment building under construction next door...

I think y'all are romanticizing Avalon Diner or you haven't been there in a while.  It's not the wholesome counter diner it used to be!

Below is another version of the rendering included in the quoted post. The rendering below includes mock signage on the building; whereas a ground floor unit in the one above does not.

i have never cooked a day in my life and dinner out every night is a must and i will say that me and my friends agree, we usually chose the restaurant based on which patio we are in the mood for that night ;)
