bobruss
What a nice roof top pocket park for the employees, and for all of the high rises surrounding it. I'm sure it creates a much nicer view for those workers in those surrounding office towers with that view. I think more of this rooftops should be used for gardens or artistic projects to create an aerial view for the neighbors that is both stimulating, calming and green. ArchFan
Regarding the tunnel question, IIRC when Foley's (later Macy's) existed there was a tunnel that connected the main store to Foley's Garage across Travis (i.e., the block in question). Urbannizer
Parking garage is here to stay. Can it support a tower? http://swamplot.com/stripped-americana-building-garage-stump-on-dallas-st-downtown-now-getting-a-paintjob/2018-03-23/
bobruss
I imagine they are saving the garage for parking now and tearing it down when they're ready for a tower on that site. I doubt that it was originally planned for supporting a much taller tower than what existed there when it was originally designed.

Confusing my garages, disregard my comment.
