houstontexasjack
I saw this Notice of Variance sign for multifamily at Mt. Vernon and the feeder by 69. It appears an LLC with this name was registered back in March. Edited September 24, 2018 by houstontexasjack I hit my photo upload limit and, in light of this project's subsequent construction, decided to remove the photo of the variance request.

j_cuevas713
I love all the dense housing going up in this city. A friend from Miami came to visit and was surprised how densely packed we are inside the loop. I really like the throwback design. There's a very modern classiness to it.

dbigtex56
This raises an interesting question: what projects in Houston have had the longest delay between start of construction and being occupied? IIRC the townhomes in the 1700 block of Montrose remained half completed and open to the elements for ~ 7-8 years before they were finally completed. Urbannizer
1916 W Gray recently opened a few months ago, took over five and a half years to be completed. Dolce Midtown started construction Jan 2014 and work is still ongoing.

Their website advertises “apply now to move in today” so I assumed it was open. https://www.lepalaisapartments.com/

CaptainJilliams
Had to go a ways back to find this thread. Just wanted to give an update to say I believe there has FINALLY been progress on this site. I cant be 100% sure until I actually drive by the site, but from the freeway just today I noticed that it looked like the scaffolding had been removed and the siding had been finished. It didn't, however, look they decided to go with brick like the renderings above, perhaps a cost cutting measure. If I get the chance I'll see if I can swing by and get some pictures this week.
