EllenOlenska
Tear down the Target and replace the entire thing with a park (of hey, multicolored crepe myrtles.) Tear down the townhouses and built another line of towers while we're just naming fantasies.
Montrose1100
Uhm, to non uptown residents, there are a ton of parks close by.tanglewood, wiess, memorial - hello, there's a pocket park next to uptown park, Grady middle school, and yes... The waterwall park. Most of the older condos (including the Houstonian), have enough land to have their own trails, fountains, dog walking area.Edit: and for the early birds there is the galleria.Second edit: this is closer to memorial than the west side of the freeway. No fortress walls to hurdle. Edited March 4, 2016 by Montrose1100
Popular Post Urbannizer
Model was presented during a recent event. The building in front of The Wilshire is Gables Westcreek, and I believe the others on that side are placeholders. River Oaks Distrcit Phase II can be seen in the foreground. And behind this group of ladies is an aerial rendering. c/o Pelican Builders via Facebook

They have to have a decent amount of space for 18 wheelers to maneuver, so I guess they figured might as well stripe it for parking

Perhaps they have parking available for vendors and merchants who call on the store? On the Google street view, there is a semi trailer parked there, using up about half of the spaces. ajgallion
I wish they would just tear down the existing Target and rebuild a more "urban" one fitting of the location. That gigantic surface parking lot just ruins the dense development surrounding it.
