X.R.
I've been to the Denver location, pretty much the ideal sports bar for cities with multiple teams/strong sports town since their main offering is that they can get any game on any channel. Denver was a lot of people who were baseball/football fans but didn't go to the game, and alot of non-Denver fans looking for their teams' games. And the numerous TVs help them have a bunch of different games on at different times, including the EPL. I know Greenstreet has its issues, but I think this is a positive sign both for the development and for downtown regarding the strength of the demand for such an experience. Can't help but think this is them thinking "we want to get as close to Toyota Center/Juice Box to capture that audience." Kind of smart since they get to establish the brand before whatever Crane and Co have in store for the area around Minute Maid.
nate4l1f3
Nice! Definitely something that caters to me. If I recall correctly Mia’s was a little on the small side, right?
Tumbleweed_Tx
I give it a year, two if they have really deep pockets. The other bars and restaurants are dependent upon activities at the "stupid place" in that complex, which are few and far between now that they have lost their minds. Greenstreet is *not* a destination one goes to regularly.

Tumbleweed_Tx
weird, the address is wrong. 1201 Caroline is the bar that may or may not still be Reserve 101. The stupid place is 1204, this one should be an even number address. btw, if y'all are ever inclined to cause mayhem, all the pin numbers at the stupid place are 1204.... ttuchris
I am not sure why my photos load upside down. How do I fix that? Anyways, this piece of Greenstreet by Hotel Laura has been incomplete since 2017. What is the plan? I am surprised they leave this unfinished next to a nice hotel.

Tumbleweed_Tx
that piece has been like that since they tore down that part of the building. It's a structural part of the sky walk cover.

IntheKnowHouston
@Urbannizer @Triton if possible, please consider merging this topic with the Greenstreet topic. House of Blues is one of several tenants at Greenstreet. https://www.houstonarchitecture.com/haif/topic/28274-greenstreet-and-the-laura-hotel-autograph-collection/

As a former HoB employee (was there from opening day through 2021 when Dave Chappelle's people got me fired), I can tell you that HoB started in Bahston as a restaurant, so they are a restaurant with a concert venue attached, not the other way around. The food may suck, but they will never lose the restaurant. They depend too heavily upon it for special events which are what keeps the doors open. Someone may have told you that take, but that doesn’t make it true. The founder’s stated mission was the preservation of blues music and they opened as a restaurant and live music venue. Here’s a story about their grand opening. https://www.thecrimson.com/article/1992/12/10/the-house-of-blues-pbmbonday-november/

ROFL Riiiiiggghhttt First you told us Live Nation "drilled this stuff into [your] head". Now it magically becomes Isaac Tigret who told you . . . Isaac Tigret has not been CEO of HoB since 1997 and he left HoB entirely in 1998, long before anyone from Live Nation (let alone Isaac Tigret himself) was telling stories to HoB Houston employees. BeerNut
Yes just the restaurant portion. I would ask for more details but someone commented that it wasn't supposed to be public knowledge. My guess is they plan to rearrange seating to focus on stage and retool menu for basic service. 1
