  1. Here are updated renderings...I'm assuming the east side will look similar but don't have anything to confirm. Kind of has more of a Marlowe look to it now.
  2. Not sure if that was directed at me or not, but I wasn't complaining...just trying to pass along the info I was given. The Randall Davis comment was for having a building not looking like the original rendering (happens quite a bit regardless of developer, I know). I am very confident this will still be one of the best looking buildings in uptown even if they went 50/50 glass/other material.
  3. I don't think there would be much of a difference...everyone who posts photos at this point has found an image hosting service they like and can easily link the pictures from there to HAIF. I suppose having a larger upload capacity would encourage a few more people but I think a way to really increase the photo uploads is to allow posting photos from mobile devices again. You used to be able to do it when the forum had tapatalk support but it no longer does (last I checked at least).
  4. Just got sent a few renderings of BLVD Place, I'll try to describe it since I haven't been given the green light to post anything yet. Base looks very similar to BLVD Place where Whole Foods is, and then the tower portion is very similar to Hanover River Oaks (only one main tower though - not L shaped like the River Oaks building). There are some set backs of balconies to give a bit of 'character' to the building but over all it's a pretty simple boxy design (nothing like 2929 Weslayan). There does appear to be a little interesting feature at the roof level as the last floor curves away from the box shape to accommodate a plaza with a pool. Bonus feature, the pool has a bit of a cantilever like Market Square Tower downtown. Not sure there is a glass bottom, though. 27 stories, should compliment the first apartment tower well.
  5. According to my source, they have reworked the glass on this building to help accommodate HVAC issues. 30% of the glass is being substituted with another material because of the massive cooling requirements with the glass. My source is involved with the inner workings of skyscrapers around town and Texas in general so I think it's more than just a rumor. Total Randall Davis move.
  6. I got on top of the garage a few months ago when the air was crisp and fairly clear, nice little view of all the skylines in town.
  7. As a landscape architect I approve this message. Good landscape architecture should harmonize with its surroundings.
  8. Quoted this for future reference. I'm excited!!
  9. Very cool! Thanks for sharing! The picture with everyone waiting on the train staring at their phones makes me sad, but nothing different than what I see here...on the roads.
