  1. hmm...technically we don't have an official rival...but some of the ags seem to be pretty uptight about these two schools...are they threatened?
  2. congratulations on the ags finally winning something...
  3. Yeah thats it...thanks i had a total brain lapse. Is that project gonna get off the ground...or is it just a tease?
  4. What is the name of the twin tower development proposed for the galleria area...i believe it starts w/ an R and i know its elsewhere on this site but ive been looking and cant find it
  5. yeah i wonder what they base their criteria on...seems a little skewed to me...
  6. Well...at least I know im not the ONLY one yessssss haha
  7. Even though youre a SOONER...im gonna have to agree GO DUBYA
  8. Yeah...comin in to Lubbock "International" is like landing in a field of cotton and depending on which way you come in and the side of the plane your on determines if you can see downtown or not...however, on continental flights going back to Houston, you often fly right over the university which is a pretty cool sight
  9. Thank you 19514 i totally agree with you...have some pride in your city LTAWACS
  10. I'll be the first to sign a petition for that category, no doubt
  11. why do you feel that we are "going down the drain?"
  12. DT Austin is really nice...it kind of reminds me of the Medical Center what with all the low-mid high-rises...of course it is denser and all...but still it is a great looking city
  13. ok ok...maybe not "world-class" but these cities do reserve a lot more respect from those who do not live in them
  14. good point kz...i agree...many outsiders dont look beyond the gritty parts of town, i dont know why but its a double standard so to speak...you hear nothing but good for cities like LA Chicago NY etc...yet for the "lower echelon" cities such as Houston, Dallas, Detroit etc...you hear about crime levels traffic problems pollution and just hate from ignorant people in general...thats what ticks me off... (by lower echelon I mean that Houston Dallas and Detroit are smaller, less world-renown cities...we all know that they are actually world-class)
  15. Yeah its definitely a love/hate relationship...i dont think i would live here other than to go to school here but its still a great town...and to ssullivan you gotta remember that about half of Texas is plains or mountains/hills etc...thats whats great about it...we've got a little bit of everything
  16. I guess no one is going to put the video online? or can anyone?
  17. Dont bring me down to that level...thats just wrong
  18. Lubbock seems to be often overlooked by most people. It's a fairly large town/city (205,000 or so) with an international airport and a Big 12 university...Sure i may be a little partial given my circumstances but i think Lubbock is a great example of a hardworking American city. Agri-business is the name of the game out here and the people are some of the most friendly you will ever meet...its not El Paso but it is a big town with a small town atmosphere plus the weather is awesome...if any of you are from Lubbock or visit it please tell me what you think of the HUB city
  19. Im headed back home this weekend and plan on visiting DT and snappin some shots...hope the weather is nice
  20. YAY! we made it to the top of yet another undesired list....scoorreeee
  21. I was referring to the "stockyard" area just north of town...I always see it whenever i drive through...I guess it was a little foolish of me to speak on something I don't have too much information about...but i was just takin a stab, anyway "Wreck 'em Tech"
