  2. Looks like the incentives were approved... http://www.bizjourna...centivized.html
  3. The Waco Tribune-Herald had a couple of pieces related to the stadium in the past few weeks... This one talks about the simultaneous construction of the Stadium and the nearby I-35 Bridge over the Brazos http://www.wacotrib.com/news/175722051.html And links to a TxDOT webcam that provides updated images six times a day: http://i35-brb-cam.tti.tamu.edu/latest.php While it looks like a few roads will be updated for the new stadium: http://www.wacotrib.com/sports/175535791.html
  4. Not sure if this is the one, but I seem to recall reading an article several years ago about those buildings and how they had issues keeping or even landing prospective tenants due to issues, chief among them, the location and the resulting smell... Based on this 1990 article from the Chronicle, the properties haven't had the easiest of histories... http://www.chron.com/CDA/archives/archive.mpl/1990_677586/offices-back-in-business-corridors-complex-kept-un.html
  5. Looks like the latest edition is out, although in limited release at this time - only available through the Museum of Fine Arts or the AIA's local chapter if you believe the MFAH Item page. Lisa Gray has a great profile of and driving tour with Stephen Fox, and some of his takes are just great - chiefly the one listed for faux-mediterranean McMansions... http://www.chron.com/default/article/Architecture-expert-Stephen-Fox-serves-as-a-tour-4005819.php
  6. Didn't actually find this thread the first time around when I posted the updated info over in the CityWestPlace one, but for continuity's sake... http://www.bisnow.com/real-estate-hou/2012/09/25/the-deal-sheet-phillips-66s-new-home/
  7. Eviction notices now being sent out to current Westcreek residents... http://blog.chron.com/primeproperty/2012/11/renters-get-move-out-notices-as-redevelopment-looms/
  8. And now it's back up to 8 stories... http://www.bisnow.com/real-estate-hou/2012/11/01/bisnow-exclusive-lincoln-adds-sf-at-ec2/
  9. Yep, it's supposed to be in Chasewood Park. That building has been coming soon for what, maybe 5 years now?
  10. This is a rendering of the building in question - looks 17 stories to me... Based on what the Dallas Morning News article accompanying it says, you might be thinking of something else. This one's supposed to be done in 2014.
  11. It's the Finger Co. project on the soon to be former Ben Milam site. What caught my attention was further down in the article that Hanover may be looking to develop in the area. Sounded much less along than Marvy's development.
  12. The Chronicle has a profile piece on the developer, and naturally talks about the hotel in the process. http://www.chron.com/business/real-estate/article/Quiet-Houston-developer-to-undertake-bold-3924226.php
  13. Per a recent installment of Bisnow, Building 3 is finished and 4 is under construction http://www.bisnow.com/real-estate-hou/2012/10/04/construction-diaries-the-sequel/
  14. One of the latest installments of bisnow had a couple of construction photos...
  15. Might want to merge threads? http://www.houstonarchitecture.com/haif/topic/27038-10-waterway-avenue-office-building-in-the-woodlands/
  16. Although this piece is a little over a month old, felt the need to post if just for the construction photo... http://www.bisnow.co...family-project/ ...taken from the 51st floor of the Williams Tower.
  17. Bisnow had a bit on the groundbreaking ceremony that took place a while back. http://www.bisnow.com/real-estate-hou/2012/09/06/spec-energy-building-breaks-ground/ Didn't realize it would be connected to the Embassy Suites next door, but it also says that there will be a tower IV, when tower III fills up. That's a new development, since I always thought the plan was to have the three office buildings and hotel.
  18. The network makes it's debut today. Interesting to see if it does stand up to the the hype of "HSE 2.0" or something similar. http://www.chron.com/news/article/Fans-of-local-teams-stand-to-win-as-new-network-3907606.php
  19. It looks like there may finally be activity of some sort on the site, where buildings 5 & 6 have been proposed. Since it sounds like they're going for their own campus, these towers likely won't be the end product... Maybe this needs it's own thread (couldn't find one if there was one previously posted!)? http://www.bisnow.co...s-66s-new-home/ Phillips 66 has chosen the site of its new global HQ. The big winner: Westchase. Here’s the 14-acre site where Phillips will build its campus. It acquired the property, off Beltway 8 West between Westheimer and Briar Forest, from an affiliate of Thomas Properties Group. The company has officed at Pinnacle Westchase since leaving the ConocoPhillips campus in May. It’s working on the design for its HQ; construction will take 24 to 36 months after groundbreaking. Plans call for office space, conference and training facilities, and wellness and dining options.
  20. Sounds like the land deal was finalized... http://www.chron.com/business/real-estate/article/Deal-to-build-tower-on-church-land-benefits-city-3900764.php
  21. Found this on Clutchfans' twitter feed - a quick peek into the studio
  22. For some reason, I think the mall closed in early 96. I know it was definitely out of business by the summer of '96 since our family took a trip down there for a few days and I clearly remember the place appeared to have most of the signage already removed save for the ones facing Broadway. Don't really have any other distinct memories of the place... I know that it did close shortly after Craigs' went out of business. That may have been in 1995 or so.
  23. The Chronicle has an piece on the restart of construction and an updated rending of the Whole Foods location to show the Chase Bank signing, as well as construction photos. http://www.chron.com/business/real-estate/article/Construction-resumes-at-Uptown-upscale-3866536.php
