  1. This is another project I've been curious about just based on traffic volume alone. This would be along FM 762, a mile or two north of the George Ranch in what I think is now part of Rosenberg (my guess based on the annexation around Bridlewood Estates, and the new City Limits signs popping up around there). There was a decent amount of info and several renderings in today's Fort Bend Herald, but nothing on the website. I'll scan it in soon though.
  2. 64 Floors, 909 Feet (according to the property's website- though I'd always heard 901) As for the other residential towers... The Huntingdon is 34 Floors and 503 Feet Tall The Four Leaf Towers are both 40 Floors & 444 Feet Tall
  3. Most of the articles beforehand have given 630' as the height, so that would seem pretty much spot on. I agree though, it is a beautiful rendering and I look forward to seeing more.
  4. Saw an updated report on KRIV during the news tonight on the plans... http://www.myfoxhouston.com/myfox/pages/Ho....1.1&sflg=1
  5. After a bit of searching, Maryland Manor Apartments seems to be what occupies the address at the moment. I drive through the area a fair bit and think it would be great to see something of that height near the university. I'm Also impressed with the different uses planned. Have to keep up to see how this one pans out!
  6. There's a commercial that airs fairly regularly on the cable news channels for Stanford Financial Group. It shows their building in the Galleria area as well as a few other shots around town, and at the end someone is crossing a street with the old Federal Land Bank in the background. Nice production values since it is a nationally aired commercial.
  7. I wish I could've caught it while it was underway. Nevertheless here is that block from earlier today And the rest of the site...
  8. "The Titan"? http://www.chron.com/disp/story.mpl/busine...ff/5137314.html
  9. Is this just the storefronts or does it extend to part of the hotel at this point? Just curious...
  10. Several versions of the same story... KTRK http://abclocal.go.com/ktrk/story?section=...&id=5653357 KHOU http://www.khou.com/topstories/stories/kho...e.c3e362f2.html KPRC http://www.click2houston.com/news/14093082/detail.html
  11. That's why I always keep my camera in the car when I can remember to, so thanks! Those signs are a damned tease. Seems like some good projects could come of it, especially when you think of what the view from the park could be with a few highrises on the perimeter.
  12. If I'm not mistaken they've already begun construction on the second tower. At least that's what it looked like when I drove by there earlier this afternoon.
  13. I see that the website has been updated to show a new rendering of the overview of the project. I recall seeing a close-up of just a portion of this rendering in the past, but not the whole thing...
  14. Here's an article from the Post on One Congress Plaza, or what's today that big brown enclosed "Congress Plaza" Parking Garage. The building somewhat resembles another Morris-Aubry project, One American Center in Austin which was completed around the time this was proposed.
  15. An article on height concerns about the then proposed tower... What I found interesting was in another article written four months prior to this one on the demolition of the 60's "Southwest Tower" was the sense of certainty of the writing about this building. Seems so odd reading it with the advantage of hindsight. Was it really a forgone conclusion at the time that the building was going to be built or was it just a lot of spin from the business community which influenced the columnist in that story?
  16. Some photos from around the project as it is today... Phase I The Reserve is the residential component. There are a number of "Westin Homes-Sold" signs along several of the streets and a few are going up. Phase II... Most of the connecting roads have been laid out but are just short of the primary routes they're supposed to connect to JC Penney Academy
  17. Just click the arrow to the right of the first series of buildings and you'll see it pop up.
