  1. They've put up a green series of walls along San Felipe, and today they're placing a few banners stating that the developers are donating the salvaged components of the demolition to Habitat for Humanity of NW Harris County.
  2. 6 Houston Center's soiree/preview was this afternoon and here are a few shots I took. Debbie Wilson, VP of Leasing in Houston Center who announced the building's amenities. To open on... The website for the property also went active today and is still being fleshed out. www.6houstoncenter.com Renderings from the site
  3. The groundbreaking will be at 4PM this Thursday, according to the press person at Crescent. They're already putting together the covered tent/event space on the lot.

  7. Could this be one of the new renderings? I found it on CBRE's Listing for Discovery Tower. It does look like a modification of the one I scanned in back in September as well. New September
  8. Some overhead shots I took this afternoon. It looks like they've almost cleared out all of the debris from the old buildings away... Former Montagu site Former West Bldg. site The first part of the block that was demolished
  9. Since the article will be online in a few days, and I'm not sure if the maps are always attached, this is from today's print edition. It lays out the location of the proposed 20-story building and 21-story hotel amongst other things.
  10. Given the address, I think it's the old Commercial Bank Building. Here are some photos I took a couple of weeks ago.
  11. Pardon the quality of these scans, but they're copies from microfilm... Anyway, this is the model of Resource Centre/Houston, from a 12/3/81 Post article And an article from the 7/24/88 edition of the Post on the unbuilt buildings and projects of the 80's.
  12. It's a public thing. The invites just went out to the people who signed up for more info, previous buyers and other friends of the company. As for the "2.08" references... I think it was a reference to the official opening of the sales office and the beginning of their inserts ("The Titan Times") hitting more papers and publications.
  13. I received the sales packet in the mail today, and it was full of the floorplans for the units. There are 21 different ones to choose from, it appears. A special letter was also included, mentioning that pricing & contract executions would occur around May and construction should begin by July. Also, the website should be updated and a promotional video should be online within the next 15 days. As is standard with the other Randall Davis properties, there is a cocktail party scheduled for March 5th in the Cosmopolitan (across the street from the Titan's sales office) where their reps will be showing off amenities and attempting to sell units.
  14. The groundbreaking is scheduled for March 6th, according to someone I spoke with from Crescent.
  15. Are you sure it wasn't talk about this other possible hotel, in addition to the proposed Embassy Suites?
  16. Here's an ad for a condo tower that went nowhere. It was placed in an October 1981 issue of the Houston Post, but I've only come across it that one time. The address is also where another condo tower of similar height was supposed to have been built several years ago, but I'd guess it's long since dead as well. There's a rendering I should dig up of a very interesting looking project that was pitched around the same time that would've been located between Town & Country and the hospital at Memorial City called "Resource Center/Houston". It was designed by 3D/I and was to have included a 16-story hotel and office buildings of 26, 36 and 46 stories.
  17. For clarification's sake, I thought that 6 Houston Center was supposed to be on the block (San Jacinto/Caroline/Walker/Rusk) surrounded by the Melrose Building, The old Federal Reserve building, 1 Houston Center & one of the HC Garages... Also, the domain 6houstoncenter.com has been reserved by the firm that has designed the websites of Crescent's other properties.
