Market Square Tower: 40-Story High-Rise At 777 Preston St.
cloud713 replied to Urbannizer's topic in Downtown
From the link.. "Grocery store" does seem like a bit of a stretch, but there will be some options, none the less. Maybe Aris will get a legit grocer? Seems like they hoped to sign one.- 1,894 replies

Nice article! The description sounds intriguing.. I wonder if Day For Night will use any of the bomb shelters for their art installations. Would make for a unique environment.

GreenStreet: Mixed-Use Development At 1201 Fannin St.

Agreed Tiger.. I had hoped they might do that, given the green space shown in the initial conceptual renderings. All of the barren flat roof tops in our urban areas are so much wasted potential. -

Those were installed sometime back in the spring. Between the trees and the streetlights, this corridor is starting to create its own identity.. -

Culbersons district also includes a portion of Post Oak. He's the reason they had to go forward with BRT instead of rail..

Not trying to get this off topic, but since you insist on bringing up rail.. "Uptown" doesn't want the light rail, or Culberson doesn't want the light rail..?

Someone interpreted the parking lot work as a groundbreaking..? Even if they did, not sure that's worth calling someone an "idiot".

I was wondering if that upside down L was the outline of the theater when I saw that picture.. Neat seeing how it was all pieced together.

I'd be interested in hearing more about this sunken garden.. I've never seen it, but recall hearing stories about it. Where was it at? When I googled Noguchi sunken garden the only thing that popped up was one in NYC.

Is the double decker one of those touristy London busses with the open air top deck? From the rendering below it looks enclosed. If its open air, I hope they make the top deck accessible for patrons of the coffee/snack shop as a little seating area with an elevated view. And that "vacant acre" Midway has leased must be the property just west of the office building? I seem to recall discussions on that property in this thread a while back. Maybe use the property to expand the park over and link the green space with Richmond, and/or build a boutique hotel on that site?
