  1. NIIIIICE! I see so many people in Midtown risk their lives crossing that area. So glad they're creating a crossing here!
  2. If we flood the Mayor with email's asking for the city to draw a tourist structure, maybe they'll work on some sort of incentive for a developer to build. Idk
  3. IMHO that's ridiculous. They should have had this park ready at least a week before SB kickoff.
  4. Think about the amount of foot traffic that's going to flood Midtown once this is finished and the new Whole Foods on Elgin.
  5. Do yall remember when we had no idea when the superblock would be developed??? Now look at us lol
  6. Something isn't right with that organization. They seem so out of touch with what's going on in urban environments and what people want. Clearly it's politics and money, but it's so damn frustrating.
  7. I wonder how big of an idiot Ric Campo feels like knowing that ESPN is no longer going to showcase his development as their backdrop.
  8. Why can't TxDot fund a commuter rail system? I really have no clue why they are persistent with roads! I just don't understand why a regional transit solution only involves laying concrete for more cars.
  9. Omg is it possible this might finish before the Super Bowl!?!?
  10. And overall it's better to go ahead and clear the land because those apartments were falling apart. In time this project will take off.
  11. The building was falling apart from reports. How much of that is true idk, but if they were having serious issues then I can see where the building wasn't worth saving.
  12. I'm so happy this is finally happening. Between this and the new Midtown park, there is going to be a ton of foot traffic in Midtown.
  13. To prevent random materials from falling down on the street.
  14. I never understand why little pedestrian islands like this aren't paved over with trees planted and maybe a couple of benches and tables. All medians in this city. Not saying you would want to hang on a median on Buffalo Speedway but at least make them fully accessible to pedestrians.
  15. Even if the existing facade stayed as is, the building is in desperate need of a good scrubbing. I drive by it every single day.
